Welcome to what has become a wintertime tradition here in Orbiting Human Circus-land! The 2nd Imaginary Symphony was originally recorded from 1999–2001 in Athens, Georgia, and New York City by a group of best friends. It was first broadcast on WNYC in 2002, so it feels special to share it now through WNYC, as well as to share it again with the Night Vale Presents family, many of whom are already familiar with it. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season from all of us here at The Orbiting Human Circus! Narrated by Brian Dewan. NVP has got another fascinating concept pod full of mystery and horror. First episode had aspects that some podcasts miss out on, either individually or in some entirety: excellent writing cognizant of voice, great voice acting, high production value, an experimental yet effective concept, and easy transitions among each portion. Alice Isn't Dead, Within the Wires, and now this seem to be pushing the concept of what a fiction podcast can bring to a listener. Excited for more, keep it up, team!

The gift of musical and verbal storytelling inherent in Julian Koster's ever-evolving world finds renewal with this new venture. Looking forward to the next episode!

First off, people who write 5 star reviews before the podcast even comes out are Trump level dumb. Now the actual review. I can't figure out this podcast, there are moments when it is genuinely fascinating, and others where it's unlistenable. I'll give it a few more weeks but the format is all over the place, so far there seems to be no cohesion and no real story, but also something great seems to be juuuuuust out of reach.
