Description

Formerly known as The Not My Dad Bodcast, this show has evolved into something bigger, bolder, and far more dangerous—but not reckless.

At its core, O.L.D. is built on Purpose: the drive to become stronger, sharper, and more resilient in a world that often rewards comfort and conformity. Each episode explores what it truly means to live with intention—whether that’s through the Mind (challenging the status quo, continuous learning, and mental toughness), the Body (training for strength, resilience, and functional fitness), or the Spirit (compassion, courage, and standing up for those who can’t stand for themselves).

Through raw conversations, humor, and stories that hit hard, the O.L.D. Podcast calls men and women alike to step outside their comfort zones, reject mediocrity, and embrace the discomfort that builds legends.

This is not about being reckless or destructive. This is about becoming dangerous in the right way—dangerously purposeful, dangerously competent, and dangerously alive.

I am so excited to be back on a Bodcast with Ian and Steve of The Talking Dads. Every time we get together we have a blast talking about anything and everything and this episode was no exception. Of course, we talk fitness and fatherhood and even try a surprise bottle of scotch I brought for the boys. Ian, Steve, and I discuss Ian's fitness transformation and challenges. We also talk about how being a Dad of three has its own challenges for Steve. There is so much to unwrap in this episode you just have to listen! I also dust off the "On The Spot" questions which leads to some incredible dialogue and a ton of laughs. The Talking Dads on FacebookThe Talking Dads on IGSteve on IGIan on IG
Read a pretty interesting article from Inside Hook the other day by Tanner Garrity called, "100 Ways to Live to 100: A Definitive Guide to Longevity Fitness." Now, I told my wife and kids that one item on my bucket list is to do 100 push-ups on my 100th birthday, so needless to say this article intrigued me. In this Bodcast, I discuss the article, along with some of the evidence behind the claims, and offer my observations, opinions, and some anecdotes of my own.I also discuss my exit from the Legendary Dad Bod Contest, a birthday and anniversary, as well as November being Manatee Awareness Month100 Ways to Live to 100: A Definitive Guide to Longevity FitnessIdo Portal - "Hanging" blog 7/7/14
My second Ambush Bodcast and it just made sense to complete the set and go with the other member of the dynamic duo of the Talking Dads, Ian Lewis. After a couple of technical difficulties, we got rolling and talked about The Dads' latest episode #107, which dealt with the mental health side of parenting. We addressed the 3 pillars of Not My Dad Bod: Family, Fitness, and the Grind. I got Ian's take on how he is Being Something Better and Doing Cool Shit, as well. This Ambush went longer than I had planned, but it was a great time. The Talking DadsThe Talking Dads on FacebookThe Talking Dads on IGIan on Instagram
That's right, I am back, baby! I could not stay away from the Pod Life. Easing back into this stuff with a solo podcast that discusses a bunch of stuff. I talk COVID, breathing and free diving, Intermittent Fasting, and whatever else comes to mind. Also, I have been entered into the "Legendary Dad Bod Contest" from Men's Journal. So, VOTE FOR ME!!https://legendarydadbod.com/2021/anthony-zalewski
Been off for a bit but felt the itch to do a little podcasting, so here it is. Since the last few months have been a little slow on news and events, Ep. 20 is just me talking your ear off about The ‘VID, social media, falling off the training wagon in Pudgy Town, being a better human, 2021 goals, and the circus that is the 2020 election. Plus, I use more sounds effects! Enjoy!!
Very happy to have Mark Smith on the Bodcast for this episode. Mark is a fitness professional but more importantly, a Dad who instills the values of fitness and training onto his two boys. This is a family tradition that started with his own father and we talk in great detail about how important that was for making Mark the man and father he is today, and how he wants to pass those lessons and traditions down to his boys. We talk bourbon (of course) and sprinkle in wrestling (the real kind) into the conversation (one of my favorite sports). Mark has a ton of great wisdom to share and much like the other guests of the Bodcast, there is always something to take away to help your Dad game.Mark on FacebookMark on Instagram
The very first "Ambush Bodcast" where I call an unsuspecting Dad on the phone and record a bullshit session.  This is unedited, unrehearsed and Steve was totally unaware I was going to do this. He was a great sport as we talked about the 3 F's (Fitness, Food, and Family) as well as if COVID were a Supervillian, who did Steve think it would be? Enjoy and please don't forget to subscribe!Originally recorded on August 25th, 2020.The Talking Dads siteTalking Dads on FacebookTalking Dads on IGSteve Bacnik on IG
Not every Bodcast is about fitness, fighting to not look like a certain sea cow, or even talking with a Dad. Some opportunities are just too good to pass up and this was one of those times when I had the chance to talk with Carl House, aka The Podcast Engineer, and learn more about building a successful podcast. Maybe this episode helps someone out there listening to pull the trigger on that idea or make some changes to make their podcast even better. Or maybe it even helps me to be better at the Bodcast... Or maybe, just maybe, you will listen, drop 5 stars and a bomb-ass review because you feel that is what I most deserve...  And like Emma says, make sure you subscribe!Check out Carl on social media. Every time I sit down to record a podcast, my oldest, Jaxon always asks when he can jump on the mic with me.  Well, for this episode, we made it happen. It is a short episode, but he's 5 so we made the best of it and talked about life goals, relationships, current affairs - you know, all the good father-son talk. Enjoy!
Finally had the pleasure and honor of sitting down with Ryan, even though he was all the way in Japan (yeah technology!) The purpose of this bodcast was to talk about how to make training fun, but it turned into so much more.  We discuss a boatload of topics including life in Japan, physical autonomy, the foundations of GMB Fitness, Ryan's Dad Life, nutrition, and much more. These are the kind of episodes that I love, where we go off-script and the conversation just takes off.
