Why Do General Managers Do This ??!?!!? - Episode 10

Why Do General Managers Do This ??!?!!? Why is it if a customer complains and under normal standings, the advisor respectfully tells the customer "NO",  then the customer goes to the service manager and they also say "NO", that the customer then goes to the General Manager who in my personal experience almost always says "YES". WHY, WHY, WHY??? Are you wanting to build a relationship with the customer who is going to slam you on a google review and a manufacturer survey? No That is NOT something You want to do. Avoid these customers all together because believe it or not they are NOT customers. At least they are not the type of customers that you want to have at your shop.

Happy Tuesday - Random Live Stream | Pre-Christmas Chaos - Episode 8

(Audio from our YouTube VlogCast). As we are all getting ready for the wonderful Christmas Holiday, one thing we can not forget about is the crazy week of Christmas Chaos. This is the week that we all know to be the typical time for the "Wait to Last Minute" customers, the "I am Leaving Tomorrow and I Need It Now" customers and of course my personal favorite, "No, I Didn't Have An Appointment, but I Need My Car Fixed Today" customers.    We all know and love them (insert sarcastic cough here). However, we should start looking at these as the more comical sides of our business and thinking of loving condescending ways to tell them no. Always remember, one of these customers, will never be a perfect survey!

We Review Ford's All-Electric F100 Resto-Mod Unveiled at the 2021 SEMA Show

(Audio from our YouTube VlogCast) Now there is a lot that went into the making of this truck when considered that it is what Ford is considering a new take on what is commonly referred to as a Resto-Mod.    Based on a 1978 F-100 pickup, the F-100 Eluminator concept features an all-wheel-drive system via two powerful electric motors shared with the 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition. Ford is saying that the F-100 Eluminator concept is a preview of how they are supporting customers as they go all-electric and embrace zero-tailpipe emissions performance, even for older vehicles.   The all-electric F-100 Eluminator concept was designed and created by Ford Performance in collaboration with MLe Racecars and sits on a custom Roadster Shop chassis. It’s painted in the popular Avalanche Gray with Cerakote Copper accents applied by Brand X Customs, while the interior features a billet aluminum dash by JJR Fabrication and avocado-tanned leather upholstery by MDM Upholstery. It’s also equipped with custom 19x10-inch billet aluminum three-piece wheels by Forgeline that are able to accept OEM hubcaps, wrapped in Michelin® Latitude® Sport 275/45-19 high-performance tires.   Globally, the vehicle performance parts and accessories industry generates approximately $50 billion annually, which covers hardware for everything from hot rods to off-road vehicles, and from mobile electronics to vehicle accessories.   Ford Vehicle Personalization and Ford Performance Parts continue to add new choices for customers, like the Eluminator e-crate motor, as the shift to electric vehicles accelerates. It’s the first of what will become a growing portfolio of performance parts and accessories for Ford electric vehicles.   Over time, Ford Performance plans to develop a wider list of components for the Eluminator powertrain with some of the leading performance manufacturers, including battery systems, controllers, and traction inverters to close the loop on full turnkey aftermarket electrification solutions.  The truck has also been reviewed by CNBC's Phil LeBeau joins Shep Smith to discuss an all-new concept truck from Ford, the F-100 Eluminator pickup, which has a body based on a design from 1978, but runs on new electric technology.   #Ford #FordPerformance #ELuminator #ElectricF100

Service Advisors - Calling An Extended Warranty Company and How to Be Prepared.

In this video, I will discuss some of the basic common sense things you should have or need to have when calling into an Extended Service Contract Company, commonly referred to as an Extended Warranty Company.   This is basic information you need for the call. It is not a detailed training video however it is a conversation of what information you should have. Hopefully you have been shown by your manager or a co-advisor. This is not a hard conversation if you are prepared. In fact it is even easier than trying to sell to a customer. If they have the coverage and you have the information needed, you will get an approval.

Now that you have the customer in the service drive, set the expectation, you are in control. Let them know to hang out till your ready, not come right up to your desk. The when your ready greet them at the vehicle.... Take control of the situation. Be Positive, You Got This!    Do your part, Get them written up, follow through on what you say you are going to do. Train Your CUSTOMERS, To Do What You Want and Understand the Dealership Process! Make Them Part of the Experience - (Part 1)

It all starts with Training Your CUSTOMERS, to do what you want. Like where to park their car at an independent shop or how to pull into the service drive at a dealership. This will make all the difference! Include the customer in the process. educate them on what to do, where to pull their car and how and when they will be approached. Let them know that you are not only here to assist them with their needs but politely let them know you need them to do their part, and they will have an AWESOME experience.

Why Does This Keep Happening? Know What To Do! Episode 13

Something that really bugs me is advisors struggling to have a conversation on the phone with customers, warranties, and other businesses. Managers in the industry need to take better initiative in training the advisors that are new and keeping up with continued education, but also Service Advisors, you need to want to learn more. The more you know the better you will be. You will have more confidence in your selling ability and feel better about the conversation you have.
