This week Derrick and Jason dig into what Paul writes in 1 Corinthians chapters 8 and 9. Through what he writes in those chapters, Paul is encouraging the Corinthian believers and us to evaluate the lives we are living for the Lord. Am I making strides toward the Lord or am I making strides in the wrong direction? These are questions that we must ask ourselves every day as we attempt to live for the Lord and the sake of the Kingdom. This is also the season 9 Finale. We will take a break for the holidays and be back after the first of the new year.

This story is found in all four gospels, and it shows us several very important aspects of being citizens of God's Kingdom. Jesus gives us the example of being compassionate people, and more importantly, he invites us to be a part of the work that he is doing.

In the process of addressing a specific sin committed by an individual in the church, Paul addresses the responsibility of the entire church body to strive for purity and truth together. This week Derrick and Jason take a deeper look at 1 Corinthians 4:6–13. In this passage, Paul reminds the Corinthian believers, and us, that humility is the thing that draws people toward Christ rather than arrogance. It is so easy to become puffed up and arrogant in a society that is constantly telling us to make more of ourselves. However, humility is the thing that most closely identifies us with Christ.

They discuss the strong emphasis that Jesus placed on mending relationships while on the cross. This should be a challenge for us to invest in relationships as well.
