Jordan and Bayleigh preview what hopes to be an action-packed offseason for the Boston Red Sox, who started by tendering the qualifying offer to right-hander Nick Pivetta. The team also chose not to extend the same offer to outfielder and team home run leader Tyler O'Neill.
Later, the duo talks about Gerrit Cole's decision to opt-out... but not really opt-out of the final four years of his deal with the New York Yankees before playing a little free-agency roulette.

Jake makes his long awaited return with Derrik and Hunter for another episode of MiLB Talk. Jake isn’t the only big appearance, though. Boston Red Sox prospect and the organization’s MiLB DPOY award winner Nelly Taylor joins the show. Taylor talks about his childhood health issues, his draft story, and more. There is plenty of talk covering his defense, but they also discuss his offensive potential, his speed, and his leadership. We talk about his time in Salem and Greenville, as well as his teammates and what he wants to achieve this offseason.

MiLB Talk is back as Derrik and Hunter are joined by Boston Red Sox catching prospect Elih Marrero. The son of a Major Leaguer discusses growing up around baseball. The trio argues about food, but find some common ground. Marrero talks about his 2024 performance, his past in the system, and his offseason goals. They also discuss the lost art of manager freakouts, his upcoming marriage, and drills. He talks about the draft, trade deadline, and his teammates. We also learn his favorite pitches and places to play.

MiLB Talk is back as Derrik, Hunter, and Jake (remotely) hand out minor league awards with the help of the listeners. Someone wins multiple awards, and they discuss how unfair it was for the other nominees that Roman Anthony and Kristian Campbell were available as options for certain honors. Unsurprisingly, the award ceremony turns into the two yapping about each player and going off on unrelated tangents. The duo reminisce about their days as Little League baseball players as Derrik brags about his elite speed. Hunter is uncharacteristically mean in this episode, so apologies (not really) for that.
This episode marks the end of the 2024 season for the Boston Red Sox.
Jordan and Brian join together to recap what was the ultimate *mid* season, as the Red Sox finish 81-81.
There were a few important things to note in the final series of the season: Nick Pivetta's likely end to his Red Sox career, Quinn Priester's beginning and the final game of Joe Castiglione's Hall of Fame career as the voice of the Boston Red Sox.
Jordan and Brian also get into some superlatives for the end of the season before each giving their World Series picks ahead of what promises to be an exciting finish to the MLB season, just without the Red Sox.

The final show of the season for the weekday crew. Matt, Doink and Kevin break down the travesty that is the A’s moving out of Oakland. They talk about the Red Sox finally being eliminated and how this is kind of what we expected at the start. They analyzed while Alex Cora would have stayed, and what that might mean for the future of this ballclub. There was alot of offseason talk about what second year Craig Breslow might do, and how many different paths they could take. Matt looks back at the moves that Craig made this season that DID pan out and how we might have lost a playoff spot because we traded Chirs Sale for Vaughn Grimace. The Crew also talked about the announcement that the Red Sox would be revealing a new City Connect Jersey in 2025.

Derrik and Hunter are back for another MiLB Talk (minus Jake). It’s the end of the season for Worcester, as the Red Sox minor league seasons are all officially over. The duo discusses Vaughn Grissom’s season and how he fits into the equation in 2025 and beyond. What’s Kristian Campbell’s health situation? Phillip Sikes and Alex Binelas make their Triple-A debuts. Hunter Dobbins still needs more love. Let’s gush about Roman Anthony more. Hunter gets bullied by some kids and almost gets hit with a baseball. What are their final thoughts on the season?
Literally have no idea what to put for the description of this episode. It was *that* unhinged.
Sox take two of three from Minnesota, Casas hits three homers in a game, Kutter pitched extremely well in Game 3 to help secure the series win.
With six games left, Boston has to go 4-2 to finish above .500 for the first time since 2021.

Jordan is riding solo for this episode as the Boston Red Sox muster up five runs while striking out 33 times against the fourth-place Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.
The good news? Triston Casas and Trevor Story both homered, Brayan Bello and Tanner Houck were solid, and we got at least one more Martin-to-Kenley shutdown before both veterans hit free agency upon the conclusion of the 2024 season.
The bad news? Everything else kinda sucked. Nick Pivetta gave up three homers, Josh Winckowski tried his schtick of downplaying him not doing his job again and the Duran-Devers one-two punch has become a catalyst for the offensive woes in September.
Later, Jordan offers fellow Pesky Report host Jake his best wishes as he recovers from surgery and suggests the rest of Pesky's listeners to do the same.

Derrik and Hunter are back for another MiLB Talk (minus Jake). With just Triple-A and Double-A to discuss, they decided to do a surprise mailbag episode. The duo discuss Roman Anthony’s dominance, the rise of Vaughn Grissom and Kyle Teel, and Hunter Dobbins in Triple-A. What is Blaze Jordan’s outlook following an unlucky 2024 season in Double-A? How good was Isaac Coffey to finish the year? The two get dangerously deep into trade talks with prospects and Major Leaguers. They finally answer your questions and have an elite yap session.
Jordan and Brian recap what was a disappointing weekend of Red Sox baseball, as they drop three of four in the Bronx against their archrival New York Yankees.
The two discuss what was a microcosm of the 2024 season this weekend before getting into Jordan's first impressions of Yankee Stadium.
Later, they talk about the offseason, namely who the most valuable Red Sox trade asset is this winter. Perhaps their takes will surprise you!
Lastly, they talk about the retirement of longtime voice of Red Sox baseball, Joe Castiglione, and offer their congratulations
Matt, and Doink, joined by Tim and later Jordan, spend the entire episode pretty much talking about Tyler O’Neill. Should we give him the QO this off season, how would that effect roster construction, how does this season of his stack up to historic seasons, and Jordan’s incredible luck with TON Home Runs. Matt also recapped his time at Section 10 night on monday. The crew also looks ahead at the Yankees series coming up.

Derrik and Hunter are riding solo this week for MiLB Talk. Will they ever shut up? They discuss the terrorizing reign of Roman Anthony and Vaughn Grissom’s improvements in Triple-A. Connelly Early has his best career start in Double-A. Mikey Romero is hitting home runs in bunches. Greenville’s season ends on a high note as Bryan Gonzalez breaks a record. They discuss who could be promoted to Double-A for the final stretch. Salem’s season also ends so they discuss Franklin Arias, Nazzan Zanetello, Jojo Ingrassia, and more.
Jordan and Brian recap the Boston Red Sox series with the Chicago White Sox, which felt disappointing despite Boston taking two out of three.
The duo recaps the return of Trevor Story, the MLB debut of Richard Fitts and assess their confidence levels in this team's ability to still make the postseason in 2024.
Later, Jordan suggests a player he thinks might be getting overlooked as an offseason trade candidate as the team may look to offload some left-handed bats.

Matt, Jordan and Kevin talk about the sad state of the sox considering how early in September it is. Should we call up Anthony or Campbell for the stretch. There are still some positives form this series like starting pitching performances, but something has to change. The trio takes a look back down the empty promises of this year from ownership and talks about who is to blame for this collapse. They also all come up with 2 positive storylines to watch as the season winds down.Â

MiLB Talk is back as Derrik, Jake, and Hunter discuss the playoff potential of multiple minor league teams. Franklin Arias was an FCL All-Star, MVP, and the top prospect. Juan Valera joined him on the All-Star roster. Mikey Romero has looked fantastic since being promoted to Double-A and people need to join the Nelly Taylor hype train. They discuss the pitching performances in Single-A, Yordanny Monegro, Wikelman Gonzalez, and Hunter Dobbins having big weeks, and Miguel Bleis improving. They also talk about the big names in Triple-A and why you should relax on Kristian Campbell not joining the Major League roster.

Matt fills in for Jordan, along with Sam and Brian to break down another series loss. Theres a leak in the ship and we are starting to sink. Time is slowly running out to close the gap, and the Twins and Royals haven’t even been playing well. The trio complimented Bailey and the starting pitching for improving in the last 7 starts, but the offense needs to step up. Brian and Matt talk about potential directions for improving the team this offseason, and preview the upcoming series against the Mets.        Make sure to follow us on Twitter, @ThePeskyReport.Â

Matt and Jordan break down this long series against the blue jays. Lots of sox trivia talk in this one, Bello and Kutter were good, but the offense (other then Duran) is sputtering. Theres alot of other talk about the playoff chances, and the upcoming schedule. As well as guessing who has Saves this year and talking about which teams have it worse then we do. WEEI booth had an incredible call during the Bello start, and what if the Giants had all 3 Rogers pitchers. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Make sure to follow us on Twitter, @ThePeskyReport.Â

Derrik, Hunter and Jake are back for their first regular MiLB Talk episode in a few weeks. They start in an obvious place: Kristian Campbell has once again moved up to a new level and absolutely raked. What can’t this guy do? Will he be in the majors this year? Roman Anthony has gotten off to a big start in Worcester too. Luis Guerrero has been excellent of late, is he a candidate for the MLB bullpen soon? On the not so great side, Marcelo Mayer has a lumbar strain and will miss the rest of the year. What do we make of his injuries? There were a slew of promotions over the week, including Hunter Dobbins, Mikey Romero and Nelly Taylor. In Greenville, Yordanny Monegro has been on fire, not giving up a run in 7 starts. What’s been different for him? Is Nazzan Zanetello turning it around a bit? The DSL Red team is playing for the DSL Championship this week, we run down their performance in the playoffs so far. Finally, it’s a pivotal Guess the Prospect.       Â
