Week 8 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2025-2026 season is now in the books as they beat the New York Giants by by a score of 38-20 at The Linc. This was the type of statement win this team needed right before their bye week. The offense was dominant. The defense was dominant. They are now 6-2 on the season and at the top of the NFC East division. This week, we were joined by Matt Rogers from the Honorable Mention Podcast. We all wanted to see the offensive line “get right” this week. We all wanted to see Saquon Barkley have a dominant game. Both happened as the offensive line opened up tons of gaps for the rushing attack to flourish. Barkley rushed the ball 14 times and totaled 150 yards, plus he had a receiving touchdown. Tank Bigsby also rushed the ball 9 times for 104 yards. Jalen Hurts also threw for 4 touchdowns today as well. The Eagles offense was working on all cylinders. The defense was also playing at a high level this week. 5 total sacks and 7 tackles for a loss. Plus, Zach Baun could be the most dominant Eagles linebacker we’ve seen in quite some time: a sack, 2 tackles for a loss, two passes defended, and a quarterback hit. Vic Fangio had his defense ready to play this week!As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, plus we graded each unit to close out the show.SUBSCRIBE on YouTube: youtube.com/@thephiladelphiasportstableHead over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.comFollow us on BlueSky:Jeff: @jeffwarren.bsky.socialErik: @brickpollitt.bsky.socialFollow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow us on Instagram:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstable.Follow Jeff on TikTok: @mrjeffwarrenFollow us on Facebook: facebook.com/PhiladelphiaSportsTable

From what Joel Embiid might and might not do on the court, to V.J. Edgecombe’s rookie season, to the growth of Tyrese Maxey, the guys dove into it all. Plus, this week, the guys spoke to friend of the pod, Daniel Esche from BrotherlyPuck.com about what we’ve seen from the Flyers early this season. It was a great discussion! But first, the guys dove into their Sixers Season Preview by talking about the team’s floor and ceiling. Then they played their “Over/Under Game” that focused on Embiid, Maxey, and Paul George (Approx. 5:30)From there, they got into the Sixers regular season record predictions as well as their predictions on who will make it to the Eastern and Western Conference Finals, and which team will be the next NBA Champion. Week 7 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2025-2026 season is now in the books as they beat the Minnesota Vikings by by a score of 28-22 up in Minnesota. This was a “get right” game for this team, and while they did “get right” in some ways, they faltered in others. They are now 5-2 on the season and at the top of the NFC East division. We’re continuing to see patterns of the offense still not being able to run the ball effectively. This is not a Saquon Barkley issue, but an offensive line and play calling issue. In this matchup, Barkley only averaged 2.4 yards per carry. Starting center Cam Jurgens' injury certainly didn't help. The passing attack, however, is what we’ve all been waiting for! Jalen Hurts put up amazing numbers and was probably the most poised we've seen since the Super Bowl. Devonta Smith and A.J. Brown had stellar games; Brown with two touchdowns and Smith with one. They absolutely dominated their coverage today. The defense was up and down throughout the game, but the good news is that on the Vikings six trips to the red zone, the scored five field goals and only one touchdown. The lack of a pass rush is still very concerning, and we’re not 100% sure Brandon Graham coming back will help. As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, plus we graded each unit to close out the show.SUBSCRIBE on YouTube: youtube.com/@thephiladelphiasportstableHead over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.comFollow us on BlueSky:Jeff: @jeffwarren.bsky.socialErik: @brickpollitt.bsky.socialFollow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow us on Instagram:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstable.Follow Jeff on TikTok: @mrjeffwarrenFollow us on Facebook: facebook.com/PhiladelphiaSportsTable
All of us Eagles fans have been asking the question: what’s wrong with the Eagles offense? The defending Super Bowl Champions are having difficulties running the ball, passing the ball, and scoring over 17 points in the past couple of game. This week, Shane Haff from the Eagles Pin-Pull Network joined the show for an in-depth discussion and breakdown of not only what we’ve been seeing this season, but what they can do to fix the problems. It was a great discussion! But first, the guys first dove into some Listener Feedback about the Phillies and how enraging they were during the NLDS. (Approx. 5:55)From there, they got into what the Phillies need to do in the offseason, as well as which players may be re-signed, and possible free agents they may look at. (Approx. 8:00)The guys then talked about how the Sixers marketing team is going heavy on the nostalgia this coming season with the black Allen Iverson-era jerseys coming back, and the return of mascot Hip-Hop. Will this be enough to keep the fan base intrigued? (Approx. 22:00)Can the Eagles rebound from two really bad losses over the past two weeks? (Approx. 29:35)What they threw down on the Table this week was a great, in-depth conversation with Shane Haff from the Eagles Pin-Pull Network about how the Eagles offense is performing and what they can do to fix the issues we’re all seeing. What to make of an ineffective rushing attack. Is play design the real problem? Not utilizing motion properly. The biggest hurdle facing the offense long-term. On this week’s OPPOSITION TERRITORY pod, it’s our pregame preview show before the week 7 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings. Both teams are not playing their best football and have been inconsistent on both sides of the ball. While the Eagles are 4-2, the Vikings are 3-2, and we’re not sure which Vikings quarterback we’ll see them put on the field. This week, Luke Braun from the Locked On Vikings podcast joined us for a great preview and discussion!Topics Luke and Jeff dove into:- The biggest strength and weakness of this Vikings team after the first six weeks of the season.- Assessing the quarterback play thus far between J.J. This week on TABLE TALK, Jeff sat down with Jon Jansen from Fox Sports Philly’s The Gambler for a postmortem discussion about the Phillies, what we saw in the postseason, and where the organization goes from here. What will this team look like in 2026 as we try to predict the talent that will stay and go? It was a great, therapeutic discussion with Jon!Topics Jon and Jeff discussed:- How the major offensive bats and likes of Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, and Kyle Schwarber barely show up during the NLDS.- Will the Phillies front office look to bolster the starting pitching for next season?- Should the Phillies re-sign J.T. Realmuto even though he’s 34-years-old?- Which guys at the bottom of the lineup will stay, and which ones may be on other teams in 2026?All of this and much more this week on Table Talk!SUBSCRIBE on YouTube: youtube.com/@thephiladelphiasportstableHead over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.comFollow us on BlueSky:Jeff: @jeffwarren.bsky.socialErik: @brickpollitt.bsky.socialFollow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow us on Instagram:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstable.Follow Jeff on TikTok: @mrjeffwarrenFollow us on Facebook: facebook.com/PhiladelphiaSportsTable
Week 6 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2025-2026 season is now in the books as they lost their second straight game of the season, this one to the New York Giants by by a score of 34-17 at MetLife Stadium. Yet another game where the offense could only score 17 points. This is a major concern for the offense now heading into week 7. They are now 4-2 on the season as we’re starting to see the NFC East slip out of their grasp. We’re seeing patterns of the offense still not being able to run the ball effectively. There is inconsistency everywhere - from the quarterback to the offensive line to the lack of explosive fire from anyone. 17 points isn’t going to win you a lot of games in the NFL.The defense was dealt a number of injuries this week and it certainly hurt when CB Quinyon Mitchell left the game. But let’s remember, the Giants had injuries on their team, too. Most concerning is how the pass rush and personnel just aren’t developing. After losing three high-level pass rushers in the offseason, this crop of talent hasn’t been able to grow and develop. It’s a problem.

Week 5 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2025-2026 season is now in the books as they now have their first loss of the season. The Denver Broncos won this matchup by a score of 21-17 down at The Linc. This was, once again, a tough game to watch as the offensive play calling was completely predictable and the offense, in general, didn’t come through in key spots in the second half.Jalen Hurts, once again, showed how he’s a top-tier quarterback in the NFL when you look at the stat sheet and how well he played, yet his coaching seems subpar. That’s where the weakness has been on this Eagles team - the offensive coaching after five weeks of play.Meanwhile, we saw some of the best defensive pass rush of the season, yet the Eagles only came away with 2 sacks in this game. They just cannot seem to “get home” when it comes to finishing and getting those sacks. The Birds now have only 7 sacks on the season.
