Episode 50: Woohoo! We hit our first milestone, 50 episodes and boy is episode 50 epic! Ross & James chat with Jim Pollard, one half of the super talented husband and wife team “Pollard We Are”. Originally from the UK but after traveling the world Jim and his family settled in the beautiful New Zealand where he discovered his love for wedding photography. Although Jim and his wife Vicky are hugely successful destination wedding photographers, they are most well known around the world for jumping in helicopters and flying to the tops of mountains in NZ to create master pieces of art during a wedding day! We discuss how he does this and the hurdles he faces to capture these incredible photographs. We also chat about the equipment they use when undertaking such a huge amount of travelling during a wedding day, his Instagram followers, Jim’s thoughts on wedding albums, his printing with his Canon Pro-222 and how he prefers to offer a single shot beautifully printed than an album. We also managed to squeeze in a quick discussion on editing and how he became associated with Dvlop preset This is a link to the Montenegro shoot Ross discusses - some stunning lighting and an abandoned swimming pool! https://www.pollardweare.com/montenegro-wedding-andrew-alisha-kotor-montenegro/ Watch the interview here: https://youtu.be/FZUyKeL5eP0 Pollard are we details: Website: https://www.pollardweare.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pollardweare Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jimpollardgoesclick Enjoy Got any questions? Episode 40: It’s another full on episode. James had a (BIG) impulse buy. Ross gets stranded in France again and we answer the following questions from our Facebook group What where the biggest mistakes you made when starting out in wedding photography. When you are editing weddings, what are the main themes that come up that you need to adjust? Are you brightening faces? Getting rid of sh*t in the background? Etc Where are you getting most of your business? Most of mine are through wedding fairs I know you stay late, how do you deal with the drunken idiots at that time Would you like the Facebook group to be more active? Bright windows during ceremony and speeches, Vogs prefer a darker constant background as we don’t do lights (well, we shouldn’t be, takes the discreet element away) photographers can light subject with a flash. I always ask the couple but, What’s your thoughts?
Episode 39: Let us answer your questions. While recording episode 38, we had few questions come in on our Facebook group.
