We dive into nonresident seasons, both in South Dakota and other states. Of course the hot topic of Corona Virus is brought up. Just an overall great conversation again with my buddy Dana.
Welcome back everyone. This episode is a bit different, opted to no longer use the intro and outro music, just more or less get into the podcast quicker for everyone, also its less work for editing for me so there you have it.This show is just me again. Flying solo, talking about my 2019 archery season here in South Dakota. I do a deep dive into my first season with the strugglestick, the pitfalls and successes I had, and things I learned.
Welcome BACK to the Photolab Studios Podcast!!!Cant believe its been since August since we met last, but I am back behind the mic. Welcome everybody to the Photolab Studios Podcast. Your escape to the outdoors!
Today we welcome James Yates to the show. James is the man behind the new ADAK Bino Harness. In a market where everyone and their dog has their own bino harness, the ADAK is a step above the rest. Sporting a minimalist design and an insanely quiet proprietary fabric, it should definitely be at the top of your list if you are in the market for a quality harness that wont let you down. James and I dive into the history of the ADAK Harness, going back to his initial hunt that inspired the design. James tells of the experience that is hunting the Wasatch Front in Utah and goes into a number of hunting stories that all contribute to the design, innovation and creation of the ADAK Harness.
Be sure to follow along with James and ADAK on their social media pages to stay up to date with all they have going on and especially stay tuned for all the new items that are coming in the future. And head on over to Black Ovis and get yourself the ADAK bino system as well. The only harness system to sport a Photolab Studios design so obviously its awesome!

Today we welcome back Mike Plein to the show. In this episode, we dive into the new product line that Toxic Calls has coming out here in July, the Avicide Series. Ive had a big hand in the design work that has gone into the call line from the outside graphics, to the inside guts, to the packaging design, so this project is pretty special to me. I truly believe this latest innovation from Toxic Calls will be a game changer for the waterfowl industry. So in anticipation of the new calls being released we go over what to expect from the Avicide line for 2019! Sit back and enjoy the show! Today we welcome the Backcountry Barista, the Coffee Connoisseur, Tony Burlison to the show. Tony is the founder of Dark Timber Coffee. While Dark Timber has only been around since 2017, Tony has been in the coffee business for much longer. We chat about our bear seasons, hunting this upcoming year, and even dive into down the Dark Timber rabbit hole for a bit. Dark Timber is the only hunter and outdoorsman focused coffee company out there, and their products are legit. They make it super simple to enjoy a great cup of joe on the side of a mountain while glassing elk. And let me tell you that experience is nothing short of heavenly.
Be sure to follow along with Tony and Dark Timber Coffee on their social media pages to stay up to date with all they have going on and especially stay tuned for all the new items that are coming in the following years.

Welcome everybody to the Photolab Studios Podcast. Your escape to the outdoors!I am back. Yes I'm still alive and kicking. Life got a little busy and hectic there for a bit. Between jobs, dogs, and bear camp, the ole podcast fell to the wayside I'm sorry to say. That and trying to coordinate schedules made things a little tricky. But Im happy to say that I am back. Back from the 2019 Rokslide Bear Camp, back from Turkey Hunting, back behind the computer and microphone. So this episode, Im riding solo, no guests, no topics, just a little recap of where I have been, what Ive been doing, so on and so forth! This is just a quick little episode of me rambling on and on. Enjoy.
Welcome everybody to the Photolab Studios Podcast. Your escape to the outdoors!

She even finds time to do some kickass reviews for Rokslide in what little spare time she has. She is one of the most legit and die hard hunters you are going to find. We have a great chat about her upcoming film project called Breaking Even, which chronicles life on the Running Water Ranch and the trials, tribulations, and joys that life style brings. We dive down a few rabbit holes and manage to chase a few squirrels, but its an awesome conversation the entire way! And if you want to hunt with Jordan at Running Water, be sure to look her up and book your hunt today!

Welcome everybody to the Photolab Studios Podcast. Your escape to the outdoors!
Today we welcome Cory Smith and Justin Waller to the show. Together they own and operate Gator Waders, the premier wader company out there. They produce some of the best waders out there, and are continually growing their product line. Hard to believe that in a short 8 years they have grown to be such a power house company in not only the hunting community but in the outdoors and "mudding" communities as well. From jackets to boots to neoprene to "breatheable" wader tech, these two are hard at work non stop. I was super lucky to get these two tied down long enough for a podcast and we had a great chat, diving into the history behind Gator Wafers, and how they got their start, to where 2019 and beyond is going to take them. Hope you all enjoy the show!
Be sure to follow along with Gator Wader on their social media pages to stay up to date with all the new things they have going on and especially to see what new products they come out with this summer! And if you dont already, head over to GatorWaders.com and pick up a pair of the Shield Series Waders, you definitely wont be sorry you did!

Welcome everybody to the Photolab Studios Podcast. Your escape to the outdoors!
Today we welcome Luke Johnson to the show. Luke owns and operates Tyto Knives, my personal favorite knife to run out hunting. Tyto Knives are manufactured and built right here in the good ole USA with the hardcore hunter in mind. They are a clean and simple, yet highly effective and functional design! When lightweight is the name of the game, you are going to be hard pressed to find a more perfect option. Their fixed replaceable blade design shores up many of the design flaws of other replaceable blade options and improves upon their successes! Luke and I had a great talk, come to find out we hunt near each other in multiple states and know many of the same locations. Tyto just released their fixed blade option named the Fanning, which proves they aren't just a one trick pony, and a company that will be here for the long haul. Luke is as down to earth as they come and we had a great conversation about a little bit of everything! Hope you all enjoy the show!
Be sure to follow along with Tyto Knives on their social media pages to stay up to date with all the new things they have going on! And if you dont already, head over to TytoKnives.com and pick up a set, you wont be sorry you did!https://www.facebook.com/Tytoknives/https://www.instagram.com/tytoknives/https://tytoknives.com/

Nick also has his own podcast called the Tale Feather Podcast, a great listen for sure. The world is full of great stories that need to be told, and Nick has some very interesting guests on! Nick and I have been great friends for many years now, his dog Brewer (Boozer) and Zoey grew up together. Nick was the driving force getting me into archery, fly fishing and most recently, into the trad world. We chase a bunch of squirrels in this podcast, mostly a great conversation between friends. We hit up subjects that are relative to South Dakota, talk turkeys, trad, and so much more. Nick has a 4 year old son, Hendrix, whom he is planning on taking out turkey hunting this year which is pretty exciting. Hope you all enjoy the show!
