Dr. Mario Ajero hosts The Piano Podcast in HD, an internet TV show and podcast devoted to pianists and piano pedagogy. Episodes include lessons in both classical and popular music, performances, and interviews with other people within the piano industry. Mario Ajero is Associate Professor of Piano Pedagogy and Coordinator of Class Piano at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He earned his Ph.D. in Music Education with a concentration in Piano Pedagogy at the University of Oklahoma and is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) through MTNA (Music Teachers National Association). His other degrees are from Temple University in Philadelphia.

As teachers and students shift to online classes and lessons due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become more apparent that if we want to exchange video files of our lectures/lessonsand students’ assignment submissions, we need to be able to make these file sizes as small as possible without compromising quality of the video so they can be shared quickly and easily. This video will demonstrate that process using a free open source application called Handbrake which can be downloaded at: handbrake.fr
