Did you guys know that nutmeg in high quantities can cause hallucinations? And injected into the blood stream can kill? Nutmeg the greatest poison of them all?
Body farms help answer a lot of those questions. Great episode.
Please do the giggling granny of Balmain Sydney Australia.
Reslistening to old episodes! So very enjoyable!
It’s absurd to even question whether or not, they were a cult. They became a cult in every sense of the world, and to say otherwise is just naive.
Yes, do Fatty Arbuckle! Love you guys.
This is one of my favorite true crime stories because it's just so WACKY. I always forget some of the ways they tried to kill Mike--this time I was surprised all over again by the sandwich of rotten sardines, carpet tacks, and shredded sardine tin. His body should have been studied to help create super soldiers or something!
This is such a fun take on true crime! I'm just now getting into it, but I'm looking forward to the show evolving over time.
LOVE. THIS. PODCAST! Honestly just in love with you both, the stories and the cocktails. Thank you for this podcast, it gets me through a stressful day at work.
Love, love, LOVE this show. My absolute favorite podcast. Fascinating stories, amazing cocktails, and talented and funny hosts. The full package!
I bloody love this show! well researched and so interesting. great hosts that perfectly balance each other. I look forward to it every week!
I reckon hemlock will be in the mix too being known since ancient times. Indeed, Socrates was offered exile or death by hemlock, he chose hemlock. A simple mixture of hemlock, monkshood and digitalis will see off all-comers. Many other plants are poisonous. Its not actually that hard if you know your plants and fungi. (Destroying Angel, Death Cap) There is cyanide in laurel leaves and yew berries, and the strongest being ricin, from caster oil plants and I think maybe flax. The world's most famous nerve poison. On a par with novochok 5 and VX anyway. Chemical nerve agents. Will you be doing the Tokyo tube attack? Great show.
Brilliant episode and so well researched - thankyou!
