The Mitch Trees Story pt.1 "That arm was special..." .
In this episode we go on a baseball journey with current Alabama catcher Will Plattner. This dude has already lived a full baseball life and it'st just starting. From learning to market himself in HS, being named All-State at Chatham Glenwood (also 2nd place in starte finish), to ending up at Ole Miss where he quickly realized he was not ready for SEC baseball and there was work to be done. Eventually Will hit the portal and ended up in the place he was supposed to be...catching for the Alabama Crimson Tide. We go through everything from LL, travel ball, recruting, summer prospect leagues, his work ethic, high level catching and hitting chats, and finally a QnA about his Alabama teammates. There are side interviews from Casey Erickson, Kade Snell, and Parker Detmers. Will has agreed to keep coming back as his career progresses. This guy is electric, has a 1st class work ethic, and will one day no doubt be playing for money. Enjoy Platt Daddy!!
An incredible conversation with a young man going through an experience very few can relate to. In a week Cam will see what happens in the draft, many are predicting him to be a first round talent. Cam has also commited to arguably the number 1 baseball school in nation right now the Tennessee Vols under Tony Vitello. We hear from Derek Parris (Director of Radio 1450), Brett Huber (Cam's pitching coach, former pro, and all time saves leader at Ole Miss), Colt Knoedler (Cam's catcher and D1 QB Recruit), Casey "Crook" Erickson (Cam's HS coach, former guest, former pro, my boy), and Tony Vitello (The University of Tennessee head baseball coach). It was fascinating to hear how Cam has handled going from an unknown HS sophmore, to a whirlwind of showcases, scouts, recruiting, calls, visits, tryouts, etc . I came away incredibly impressed with where his head and heart are at. Enjoy!
An incredible conversation about Will Vierling's journey through the game of baseball. From 3rd string at The University of Louisville to being the starting catcher for the Murray State Racers in the College World Series and setting himself up to drafted.........You gotta love it!!! Enjoy>
An incredible conversation with the Murray State slugger that captivated the nation on their run to the College World Series. We go all the way back to when he fell in love with the game as a kid, his HS career, time at Wabash Valley College, a short stint at Louisiana Tech, and of course his record setting career at Murray State. This was so special for me being a Murray State baseball alum. Thanks Hogie! The Murray Masher!
In part 3 we revisit Ryan's incredible call up story where all the stars had to align. We hear clips from his catcher that day Michael Barrett (11 year big league catcher, Silver Slugger), Rich Hill (20 plus year big leaguer, still playing at 45, longtime close friend and teammate of Ryan's), Ryan Dempster (16 year big league, cubs great, all star, commentator), and to close us out the lovely Mrs Rachel O'Malley tells us what life is like for their family these days. Thank you to everyone that participated. This is one of those special baseball stories that makes you love the game and believe in magic. Enjoy......
In pt 3 we bring dusty back for a proper part 3. We hear from PJ finigan, Eric Gum, Bo Gum, and Jordan Roth. Joined for the first time as a main episode co-host is Joey Albsmeyer. Enjoy

This will be a 3 part series, with part 1 setting the stage for Greg's journey through college, which includes going to Forest Park, getting drafted in the 42nd round, followed by a string of injuries, surgeries, the yips, and performance anxiety. In parts 2 and 3 Greg and I go much deeper than we ever have into the mental side of baseball, and how difficult it can. This was one of my favorite guests. Incredible.
In pt. 3 Ben ben takes us through his first spring training, and getting assigned to the Hickory Crawdads in the Carolina League. Ben will be checking in with us from time to time to detail his first full season in pro ball.
