Podcast Season 6 Episode 126 with Augment AI. Twitter @thepulseofai Many would agree that the holy grail of AI is to build a truly amazing personal assistant that acts as our highly competent Chief of Staff and that supercharges our output and eases the pain points across our entire personal and professional ecosystem. And because it is the holy grail many are working towards this goal. Augment AI is one of these companies but is taking a unique approach that I think has a real chance of becoming something important. They have a founder in Jordan Ritter (yes, of Napster fame) who is a proven founder and CEO and the rest of the team is really impressive as well. They are growing fast and if you want to jump on a potential rocket ship this is a company to check. Listen to the podcast to hear what they are doing, how they are doing it, how they think the market will shake out and what the future could/should look like.

The Pulse of AI podcast: Joining host Jason Stoughton on this podcast is Yonatan Geifman, CEO and co-founder, of Deci AI. Deci recently raised $25 million in a series B to support their ongoing R&D and go to market efforts. As AI becomes more ubiquitous across companies systems there are two big elephants in the room: One is the black box and bias issue, which we talk about a lot on this show, and the other is the big cost of training AI models. Solving the cost problem is a billion dollar business, which is why I had Yonatan on the show, because he believes that his company has the answer. I love what they are doing and I think you will as well.
As crypto has fallen from its previous perch high up in the atmosphere where the air gets a little thin back down here to earth where us mere mortals live it is an interesting time to say the least. Everyone is trying to figure out where we go from here. In a lot of ways this reminds me of the dotcom crash where afterwards many people walked away and said "well that whole internet thing was fun but time to get back to reality", while others kept working at it and well we know the rest of the story, right? So the existential question is whether or not we will look back in 5, 10 or 20 years and see this as just the beginning of a multi trillion dollar market with applications for every area of our lives, or if there is something to it, which there obviously is, but maybe the opportunity isn't as big as the hype has suggested? To talk about and unpack all of this I invited Brad Newman from Baker McKenzie back onto the show. If you are interested in this topic than you are going to really enjoy Brad's insights. And don't forget, if you like what you here subscribe to the podcast, follow me on twitter @thepulseofai , and ping me on linkedin.
On this podcast I am joined by Byron Reese, to talk about his latest book that just hit the bookshelves titled "Stories, dice and rocks that think: How humans learned to see the future". Byron is a successful entrepreneur, CEO, futurist and award winning author. If you are like me and believe the saying that history doesn't necessarily repeat, but it does rhyme, and so you spend a lot of time studying history in order to get a better understanding of what might happen in the future, then you will love this book. It's a tour de force that explores three leaps in history that Byron has identified that he claims made us who we are and that by really understanding these it will change how we think about our future. In this wide ranging conversation we talk about the book, his career, technology in general, transformation and even about how he writes so prolifically. Dont forget if you like what you hear subscribe to the podcast, follow me on twitter @thepulseofai or ping me on linkedin. I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did!
