Ben & Jared are not just the owners of Super Shogun Wrestling, they are the masterminds, creative forces, and driving forces behind it. They are a true two person team; where one is lacking, the other excels, and vice versa. And let me tell you something: Super Shogun does it all. It ticks all the bells and whistles for me. Every single thing that I like, that I want, and that I think is necessary? They’ve got it. Media is gorgeous and well done. Matches are booked well. Wrestlers are fckn top notch and fun. Lighting is great. Atmosphere is great. Service is great. Show is great. Social media (and response time) is great. Show production is great. Treatment of the wrestlers is great. EVERYTHING is great. I would drive the two and a half hours (one way) at LEAST once a week with zero complaints about anything, including the cost of gas, to do absolutely anything I could do to push this promotion and the wrestlers that are at it. I sat with the both of them for The Push with Pru for about 45 minutes, and I’m going to be posting it today (which is in front of a lot of other sit-downs I have scheduled) for reasons I’ll get into at a later time. The on camera conversation might have only been about 45 minutes or so, but all told I’m fairly certain I spoke with the both of them at least a couple of hours, however, and I seriously couldn’t get enough. They have the type of brains and way of thinking I could just talk to for all the days and get to know all the days that they’d allow me too. Sooooooo, saying that, I’ll be going back next Saturday to talk to them more, and to witness a training class in action. Because yea, bruh, that’s a thing they fcking do there to. And I’ll be doing so on YouTube - LIVE. As soon as they give me a time, I will give you a time. Also I fcking love them both - they’re brilliant humans with zero icky vibes going on, and I love Shogun, and if you haven’t gone there for a show? What?? Why?? Do it sooner rather than later. Their whole deal is phenomenal, really. Socials: https://www.facebook.com/SuperShogunWrestling https://www.instagram.com/supershogunwrestling/

I got to sit down and chat with Dylan Derringer after he defended his title at the last All Class Independent Wrestling show (BIG thank you to Real G-money for facilitating it) and I quite enjoyed myself. Two concussed people, having a fun conversation, until the lights go out on us - but I think you'll agree, Dylan is not only a real, kind human, if you go check his matches out, he is a good wrestler, too. He is definitely "hard to kill". That is a nickname that seems very fitting. Please give him a follow on all of the socials, and try to find some time to go watch him in person. He is legit fun af. Kung Fu Kirk

Kung Fu Kirk

The one and only Kung Fu Kirk (aka Alexander S Kirk ) is most assuredly one of a kind - but in the best way. He is always friendly and approachable; he always a smile on his face and a warm hello for everyone. Even in the ring. He's even a bit, dare I say, silly? Again, in the best way. When the match starts, he is all business. Again x 2 in the very best way. He is not someone you want to underestimate in the ring, however. He was gracious enough to sit down with me after the last Super Shogun Wrestling show and chat with me. Thank you again, Super Shogun Wrestling for being so welcoming and gracious, and allowing me to share what I think makes you guys super great. It is appreciated. Y'all need to check them out if you haven't - then you can see Alexander S Kirk in person AND get a great show. It's a win-win. Socials: https://www.facebook.com/alexander.s.kirk
So ya'll know (or should, at this point) that I -push- the people I like. The people who, I think, are good people AND good at what they do. This man right here - Chris Young - is one of those people. I come to you today to inform you if you need a referee, he'd be a great choice. He travels, and much like my friend Tango, your first "taste" is free (I feel like they do that because you'll more than likely love them and then you're hooked). He doesn't just ref - he does all the things to help . So if you are in need of a great ref, get a hold of him, please and thank you. I sat down with him for a chat the evening of 12/27/2023 (which I tried to escape from twice because I'm tired and have been nursing a headache since Christmas Eve day) but I'm glad I didn't. Escape, I mean. He's good people.

She is a kind, genuine, real person who is very deserving of every good thing that is coming to her. Jacob Brawn

Jacob Brawn

The High Striker, the Carnivore of the Carnival, the Strongman, the Beefy Boy; Jacob Brawn is more than meets the eye. I got the pleasure of sitting down and chatting with him after the last Super Shogun Wrestling show (the last of 2023!) and now you have the pleasure of starting the new year off right by listening to it and learning more about the Circus Strongman, with a twist. I stole the following from his website, because I couldn't have done any better than this: Wrestling professionally since 2012 and trained by former Impact Wrestling star Kongo Kong, Jacob Brawn brings a classic Strongman look to life, with a modern-day twist. Currently based out of Detroit, Jacob Brawn is always willing to pack up the circus and make a trip to a town near you! Jacob Brawn is the boisterous, gritty, and sometimes conceited strongman wrestler that every show needs. He likes to wrestle, and he loves to fight, but no matter what he is doing his favorite thing to do is flex his large muscles for the fans (and obviously himself). Forever Young Zo'

Forever Young Zo'

2023-12-2029:05

Forever Young Zo', who is, to me at least, the unexpected sweetheart of the wrestling world, blends a unique social marketing of his social media and all the glam that entails, with in-ring ability as well. With a pretty sizable online following, Zo' is not just an "influencer" but also a force to be reckoned with inside the ring as well. After I had my first few interactions with Zo', I immediately regretted my hastily drawn, initial assumptions of him - a classic "bad guy" persona, stuck on himself and only looking out for number one. Forever Young Zo' surprised me with an infectious kindness that extends far beyond what you see online. He really is THAT nice of a human, and every interaction I have with him, or that I witness, reaffirms that belief a hundred fold. In less articulate terms, 'he's as sweet as pie, sugar.' Behind (& really, in front of, most of the time) the impressive maneuvers in the ring lies a genuine and caring individual, proving that in the world of wrestling, even the most dazzling stars can have the purest hearts. Forever Young Zo' teaches us that being a true "influencer" means spreading positivity both online and in the ring. My sit-down with JJ Hughes aka Chap Daddy aka Chicken Daddy is here early, for you, my 14 or so loyal listeners, as a little Merry Chrimble treat, and will be available everywhere else on 12/24/2023, Brian's birthday - and less importantly, a day before Chrimble day. When he emerges from behind the curtain, you may not know what to make of J.J. Hughes - in either of his personas. Behind the slightly flamboyant costumes, props and comical antics lies a good wrestler who, against all odds, used humor as a powerful tool to overcome a past filled with a lot of adversity thrown at him. Beneath the laughter, however, lay a profound message – a reminder that even in the face of adversity, one can rise above their struggles and emerge victorious. I feel like his story, of which I feel I barely scratched the surface, demonstrates the transformative power of embracing one's true self and finding strength in the most unexpected places. Two wrestlers, that are phenomenal on their own, would be expected to have a great tag team partnership, I suppose. If you have never seen Twist & Flip before, you obviously wouldn’t know what to expect when they first walked through the curtain – but I really think that any expectations you might have would be surpassed by the magic they seem to have when they work as a tag team. I have seen them grow and get SO much better and better; and every time I think, yup, that’s it, they can’t do anything I haven’t seen or that is new and then *poof* they DO the thing, and I am amazed once again – the sky is the limit for both of them, truly. Also, sorry not sorry I fangirl for them so hard. If you have never watched them before, here is my early Yule present to you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilVNMNYRrQ4 Merry Chrimble – don’t say I never gave you anything. Or do. I don’t care either way – I only care about everyone in the wrestling world knowing their names. And they will, soon enough. If I could bet, I’d bet on them. How could I say anything about him and do it better than the title of this episode? That title is his very own tag line that I snagged and used because I didn't know what else to say. He is an engaging and enjoyable performer, and was very easy to chat with. A wrestler on the side, and a philosopher of sorts on the side of that. He taught me a bunch of stuff about wrestling in the days of yore (okay, the 70's/80's & 90's-ish) and was fun to watch in the ring and to sit-down and talk with. So sit down with us & listen in as we talk about wrestling. Socials: https://www.facebook.com/diesl.tracz.3 Twitter/X: @DieslTracz

“In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.” — Alfred Stieglitz I'm fairly certain we went well of the topic of wrestling, but such is a chat with me. And while wrestling is its own little microcosm, the world on the larger scale is not just one -thing- or another...it is a conglomeration of many different things that make up the whole. The world of wrestling is no different. Nia was my passenger in the car for an hour (poor dear) and that is where we had our chat. It took me until literally whilst I was typing this post to realize her attempts at making the picture just a touch less awful during the drive is because she's a photographer and that is what she be doin'. She takes a moment and captures it. I try to do that too, just in long form - you know, the whole talking thing.
