In this episode, Marie-Anne speaks with Visual Artist Antonio Jose Guzman. One half of creative duo Electric Dub Station, Antonio’s creative journey has its roots in the punk scene in his native Panama before moving to The Netherlands and embracing the 90s warehouse rave culture as a photographer. Together with Serbian Painter and Textile Artist Iva Jankovic, Electric Dub Station explores the relationship between creolisation, migration, decolonising textiles and the alchemy of indigo, a sacred dye with deep significance in indigenous communities from West Africa to South America to India.
