Join bloggers Kid Fury and Crissle for their weekly podcast covering hip-hop and pop culture's most trying stars. Throwing shade and spilling tea with a flippant and humorous attitude, no star is safe from Fury and Crissle unless their name is Beyoncé. (Or Blue Ivy.)
As transplants to New York City (Kid Fury from Miami and Crissle from Oklahoma City), The Read also serves as an on-air therapy session for two friends trying to adjust to life (and rats) in the big city.

1st, love yall- don't let this candle disc. put a strain on yall friendship. But now that we have all the facts it's not bogus of her friend to buy the candles for HER to give to him. That is an important distinction but are we really going to play the "it's just some candles" role? cause let's be honest, how many times have YOU Crissle lit candles with the intent of SETTING THE MOOD? we can act like candles are harmless but they def. go hand & hand with intimate quiet moments. yes, we use them for relaxation & personal stress relief but have we not all seen a movie or video of a romantic setting that involves candles? I'm a hetero guy, I like candles but have never bought a box btw And you can't tell me buying gifts for your friend's new boo isn't awkward, especially when you've never done it before. Sexual preference factors in for sure but to pull the "whats the worst that could happen- they fuck? idc oh well good for me" card actually supports kid fury's & my stance plus it's a conciliatory way to look at a bad situation that true friends wont allow to happen under any circumstance. if that happened you would care & be hurt & true friends avoid those moments. Plus if you truly believed they were harmless then you wouldn't pull that card so quickly (they just fucking candles right?). Trust only applies to the best friends, not the new boo also and some would consider these little gestures as a heat check-he might start shifting his attn to her then we got conflict. Gaslighting is a little bit of a stretch but within reason somewhat; Crissle you trivialized the candles & made it seem like a pure overreaction without the context of what ppl use the candles for. on the surface after hearing your stance one would feel silly & wonder if they were jumping to conclusions. dig deeper & the gift of candles can have so much more of an effect. Crissle you got in your feelings toward the end & I think yall need to hug & make up. don't let this simmer...
I agree with Fury and this could go wrong in so many ways.
