Hey, luvs! In today's episode, I interviewed Tawon Swinson who is a staff member at Navigation Church and is very passionate about people. Tawon shares how his faith is allowing him to move forward from his past.
Our stories are so unique to each of us as individuals, faith or not. That being said, the goal of Recommence is not to tell you how you should move forward but rather to give you all the eyes to see how your struggles can turn into something so beautiful. I encourage you all to listen to Tawon's story and allow yourself to hear him even if you do not have faith. Allow yourself to see how he is turning his battles into a journey of growth.

Happy Father's Day! In today's episode, Paul shares the struggles he faced when it came to the loss of his father and his grieving process. Paul is a father figure to me and we also discussed the challenges we faced in our own relationship. Father's day can be a very challenging holiday for some of us. So, I asked Paul to join me on a Father's day episode because he has taught me a lot about letting people in even when people that we love are absent and I wanted to have him give you the same encouragement that I have been receiving from him for the past 6 years. I am so blessed to be a part of Paul's wonderful family. Again, special thanks to him for taking the time to be a part of the podcast!

In this episode, Lela Mager shares how she used to help others so much that she felt as if she had lost her sense of self. She also shares with us how she was able to press play and move forward in her own individual journey. Sometimes good people go out of their way to help others and they begin to forget their own identity in the process. I brought Lela onto the podcast to encourage others to recognize that sometimes when others are broken the only thing you can do is hold their hand and say "I'm here for you."
I am so grateful to have her join me for today's episode. She has truly been a blessing in my life. If you would like to follow her on social media, her Instagram is @leler_18! Again, special thanks to her for taking the time to be a part of the podcast!

In this episode, I share with you how I held onto unhealthy relationships to the point that I began to feel alone in company.
I share this with you guys today to encourage you to ask yourself what you are holding on to and how it is holding you back from moving forward. I encourage you to evaluate your life and look for the areas of your life that you should hold on to, the parts of your life that genuinely bring you benefit, the areas of your life that are more damaging to you, and the parts of your life/past that you may need to begin letting go of.
