Well I finally got round to listening to this podcast this morning and I was pleasantly surprised by Keir's energy and enthusiasm. Then I realised that, because I'm always short of time, I listen at 1.2 x normal speed. Maybe Keir could try talking faster? Just a thought.

I think the problem that Sunak has with economic policy is that the members are pro-Brexit which is total fantasy economics, so it's a hard sell to make them embrace realistic economic policy now.

I am huge fan of your podcast and now read 'The European.' My question is to both of you is 'How do you have time to read so many books, articles and newspapers as well as tour the world and address high powered conferences and have time for family. Do you both speed read?' Anne Earnshaw

I have a question that relates to Rory's explanation why most MP's conform to the 3 line whip. I think Rory explained clearly why most MP's conform to the whip, however you did not explain what happens to an MP who abstained. surely on the one hand you are indicating some discomfort with the policy but you are not voting against your party. can you also kiss goodbye to your career by abstaining or is it way of registering discomfort without being disloyal to your party?

Two fascinating commentators. Huge respect for Rory Stewart and AC, could Campbell come out of retirement and get young Mister Stewart as an independent PM ? I might start believing in a union of the UK if that happened, however that is unlikely.
