On todays Restore Podcast we are looking at the heart of a Shepherd. Jesus is the Good Shepherd and does not exploit us for money, power, greed, fame or fortune. There are many in ministry who are doing this. People who do this in ministry don't truly care about others but are mostly concerned about their success, money and fame. Jesus called these leader hirelings. Their in it for themselves and may say they care, but in their hearts the really don't care. Jesus calls us to himself to heal us from our wounds, forgive us for our sins and set us free to live life to the fullest in Him.

This is the first of the Restore Broadcast on Facebook Live Tim Pepper (Restore Ministries) page. This message is a biblical exposition of Psalms 51
In Psalms 81 Asaph gives a recap of the history of our ancestors the first followers of Christ the children of Israel. His appeal to them is: Oh if God's people would just listen and and obey Him and submit to Him and breathe after Him with a deep love and passion rather that the idols they were chasing, God would defeat all of their enemies and fill them with the best of His blessings, the finest of wheat, honey from the Rock and most of all He would satisfy them. This message challenges us to learn from the mistakes of the children of Israel so that we don't miss out on the best God has for us, and to search our own hearts and lives and to cast off any idols we may have put in the place where we should be worshipping God.
This message is an exposition of 1 Corinthians 11 where the Apostle Paul teaches us about the importance of Holy Communion.
In Colossians 3 the Apostle Paul teaches us that an important part of our Christian faith is to put off the things of the flesh and sinful nature and put on the graces of the Holy Nature of Jesus Christ. The Apostle Peter calls this the Divine Nature. As we grow in our faith and in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, His Spirit will help us as we continue to surrender to Jesus moment by moment, hour by hour and day by day. Our part is that daily surrender to Christ, as we continue to do that The Father in molding and forming us more and more into the likeness of Jesus Christ.
In Psalms 107 King David reflects on the history of God's people (our ancestors) their journeys, struggles and trials their rebellion, suffering and darkness their bondage, affliction and fears their oppression, sorrows and infirmities. The beautiful picture in this Psalm is how God in His love, mercy and grace would redeem them again and again when they humbled themselves and cried out to God for help. God's faithfulness, grace, mercy and discipline, God's redempive power, love and the power of His Word would come forth to their rescue. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, He hasn't changed. Our God and Father is still sending forth His Word Jesus Christ to help anyone who will cry out to Him and call upon the name of Jesus Christ name above all names! Give thanks to the Lord for He is good His mercy endures forever and let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story whom He has delivered from the hand of the enemy!
This message is a biblical exposition of Colossians 2 and 3.
Jesus and Peter had many conversations nfrom the time Pster started following Jesus to the time after Jesus died, rose and ascended to heaven to when God breathed the scripture through him that we now have in 1 Peter 1 and 2. Jesus had so much compassion and love for Peter. In this message we discuss tose conversations between Peter and Jesus and some of the scripture in 1 Peter. God is also very patient, gracious and compassionate toward us in our journey as we seek to make our calling and election sure.
This message is an expository preaching message of 1 Thessalonians 5. Sanctification is a beautiful promise that God does in our hearts when we come to Jesus Christ. The Lord's Supper is celebrated at the end of the message.
The word holiness sometimes seems so difficult to understand, and indeed it is unsearchable in our human understanding. But holiness is more about who we are in our relationship with Christ than just do's and don'ts or a list of rules. Holiness is part of being a child of God. Being set apart for His purpose and plans. Holiness is also best understood as Perfect Love. Romans 5:5a "The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.." Many times we get our understanding of holiness upside down and backwards. Many think holiness is about our works righteousness and ability to do what we think is ok a form of self-justification. Nothing could be further from the truth. Holiness is being completely and totally surrendered to God through Jesus Christ as He cleanses and purifies us by the blood of Jesus as we walk in the light as He is in the light. Holiness is a posture of contiunal reverant loving submission to our Heavenly Father who molds and forms us, chastens and corrects us, equips and empowers us to walk in His Holiness by the power of His Holy Spirit. Holiness is not something we can manufacture in our own strength or flesh. Holiness is God by His grace through Jesus Christ transforming us into the likeness of Jesus Christ by a supernatural power as we by faith appropriate our union with Jesus Christ. We are crucified with Christ dying to our self and sinful nature and being united with Christ in His sufferings, death and resurrection. The result is a life that has been changed and now brings forth the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, meekness, temperance, faithfulness and slef-control. It also will result in the true gifts of the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12-14, Ephesians 4;11 and Romans 12;6-8. And finally this work of grace will produce a true righteousness that comes from a transformed heart that joyfully keeps all of God's commandments blameless. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, entirely and wholly that your whole spirit, soul and body may be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. And faithful is He who has called you and He will do it"
The Apostle Paul exhorts young Pastor Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:1 "The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons." and 2 Timothy 4:3-4 "For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to falsehood." We are seeing this happening all over the world. Jesus warned that there would be false prophets, false teachers and false christ's in the last days. These prophetic scriptures are even more prophetic in the times and seasons we live on planet Earth. Jesus is coming soon and He has called us to be on our guard and watch!
The Apostle Peter challenges us in 1 Peter 4:1-11 to no longer spend our time living for the desires of the flesh and sinful nature but to speng our time loving and serving God. This message encourages us to change the trajectory of our lives by surrendering our entire existence to God through Jesus Christ to serve Him all of the rest of the days of our lives. How are you spending you time left on planet Earth? We don't have muich time.
The Apostle Peter gives us a picture of how to live in the blessing of God. 1 Peter 3:8-12 " Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For,“Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” Living in the blessing involves being like Jesus Christ, loving and blessing our enemies, keeping a watch on our tongues, turning from evil and pursuing peace. May God help us all to be more like Jesus Christ.
The Apostle Peter in 1 Peter 2:12-22 gives us godly council in living our lives for Christ (Lifestyle), Our relation to those in authority (Authority), having proper respect in all of our relationships (Respect) and the suffering we willo all experience as followers of Christ (Suffering). This message is a biblical exposition of these bibical principals.
The Prophet Habakkuk In Habakkuk 2:14 and the Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 11:9 both wrote of this great prophecy- "For the Earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea" God is pouring out His Spirit in these last days for the gospel of Jesus Christ to go into the uttermost ends of the earth to prepare His Elect and His Church for the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ!
In 1 Peter 4 the Apostle Peter encourages us to follow the example of Jesus Christ. Living the Christian life can be difficult and we will certinly suffer for living for Christ, but Peter reminds us that Christ suffered in His body also and we can "arm ourselves" and be equipped with God's help and by His grace overcome the power of sin.
