Tom and Dana Duncan over at The Greatest Movie of All-Time Podcast have assembled a slew of podcast voices and content creators to each submit a list of their personal Top 50 best movies - and once those lists were submitted, they used a ranked points system to determine what are the BEST movie ever made.    Alongside their weekly releases of the 120 movies on the official Cinema Legacy Poll list, I asked others that submitted lists to share some of what they picked, why they picked those films, and then I give a bit of my feedback about some of their selections.    Follow Ryan's One Track Mind Podcast - https://open.spotify.com/show/0sONU9Bdsq35PwO8mE3jVT?si=4b105ab229764c26    Follow Ryan's Reels of Justice Podcast - https://open.spotify.com/show/5wCw5Jy4tOOMsOfhKw6w5Y?si=5d53fd55ec9c492b    Follow along with the CLP by following The Greatest Movie of All-Time Podcast - https://open.spotify.com/show/5SMF6WdlBTmDGCW66s9jlI?si=3fb19104ea234e66    Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/revalmanac/ Follow me on Twitter/X: https://twitter.com/RevAlmanac Follow me on Letterboxd: https://letterboxd.com/RevAlmanac/ Follow me on Podbean: https://revisionistalmanac.podbean.com/ Email the show at revisionistalmanac@yahoo.com

Yorgos Lanthimos' Bugonia (2025) is releasing this week, and I thought this would be a wonderful opportunity to look back on the filmography of one of my favorite contemporary filmmakers.   I went through and ranked my favorite Yorgos films- reminder, these are my favorites and NOT what I think are his objectively best films.    Do you agree or disagree with my list? I took a deep dive into 1982, along with special guests Tom and Dana Duncan from The Greatest Movie of All-Time Podcast, and after the episode we turned the voting over to you, the people! We couldn't agree with the Academy on any winners, so all six categories went to our social media polls for you, the listeners to decide on.  The voting has concluded and it's time to share the results and officially add these winners to the coveted Revisionist's Almanac.  With this episode cycle completed, we turn our attention to episode twenty-three, where I was joined by two first-time guests - Jennifer Han and Sarah Callen from Movies & Us - to dissect the year 2003 (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King winning Best Picture). This episode will release on Friday, November 7th.
