This is the last of six guided meditations, which will provide you with a firm foundation to begin and deepen your mindfulness, insight, meditation practice. This session provides guidance in how to work with difficult emotions.  We tend to delight in pleasant emotions and struggle to get rid of the unpleasant ones.  Mindfulness will allow you to meet emotions of all kinds as guides and teachers. When challenging emotions are present we are guided to turn toward them with love and compassion: to embrace rather than hate them.  As we allow ourselves to become intimate with them they reveal their true impermanent and impersonal nature. we learn to rest with our hearts open in the middle of all of the challenges of life.    🙏 SUPPORT THIS WORK These teachings are offered freely in the Buddhist tradition of dana (generosity). This is the fifth of six introductory guided meditations, which will provide you with a firm foundation to begin and deepen your mindfulness, insight, meditation practice. This session introduces you to the final three of the five hindrances: Restlessnes and Agitation, Sloth and Torpor, and Doubt. When the mind is too energized, low energy or filled with doubt, knowing how to bring awareness and wisdom to them is the path to letting them be so they weaken and vanish,  🙏 SUPPORT THIS WORK These teachings are offered freely in the Buddhist tradition of dana (generosity). This is the fourth of six introductory guided meditations: Sometimes one can hardly find the breath to use it as a training object. At such times a meditator can up-level the game and become aware of which of the Five Hindrances are present. The first two form a polarity: Craving and Aversion. Rather than struggle to stop or banish these powerful and natural life energies one learns how to acknowledge and accept them and in so doing to reduce their power and capacity to pull us into delusion.  The guidance is heart-centered and creates an atmosphere of kindness and compassion to allow awakening to ripen.    🙏 SUPPORT THIS WORK These teachings are offered freely in the Buddhist tradition of dana (generosity). Hey — come sit with me for a minute. Notice the breath, the shoulder that aches, the crow outside, and how the mind spins stories while you keep returning to this one true moment. No pressure, no fixing — just the small, ordinary miracle of breathing in and out, waking up again and again, and opening your heart to the messy, beautiful you. Try saying “I love you” to yourself with your name at the end and see what shifts. May this little pause steady you for whatever comes next — a meeting, a drive, a walk — and help you carry a bit more kindness and presence through your day. This guided meditation is part of a series introducing Insight Meditation practices with a heart-centered approach. A man and a woman sit near each other, and they do not long at this moment to be older, or younger, nor born in any other nation, or time or place. They are content to be where they are, talking or not talking....
This poem is presented in English and Turkish English by Robert Beatty Turkish by Elif Ledron This is not a poem for the faint of heart or those who embrace Pollyana. It is gritty and realistic and loving and a heart and eye opener.
Hello Friend: Please take a few minutes and allow your heart to open to profound self love.  Using the simple and potent mantra  "I love you" we will open our hearts and the deep unconscious mind to deep healing potentials.  You can imagine being present at your own birth, to be the first one to hold this precious baby.  What have you always wanted to hear" What have you longed to hear?  It is now, right here today, to give the gift of such a prayerful blessing to yourself.  This is a recording to return to many times.
Open the way inside you, the universe is your only breath, surrender to the present moment, what's coming now is all that's left, many Rivers flow through us, many creatures become us....
Death asked me to join him for dinner so I slipped into my favorite black dress  that I had been saving for a special occasion  and let him walk me to our candlelit tryst. He ordered a ribeye, extra rare I ordered two desserts and red wine and then I sipped  and wondered  why he looked so familiar .......   Performed by Robert Beatty. Music by Saffire Bouchellion
This poem is like a splash of cold water in the face. Wake up and know what you know, what is real. Everything that can be lost will be lost. This is the essence of the Buddha's teachings in a few lines. Buckle up this is the ride of your life!
The Buddha recommended that we spend time with the Five Daily Recollections each and every day. They are a medicine for fear, greed, hatred, and confusion.  By reflecting often and deeply on these truths a new freedom is born.
Hello friend — take a moment to rest here with me. Notice your breath, the sensations in your body, and let the idea of “I” soften. Imagine, for a heartbeat, there’s no separation between you and the world — the deer in the forest, the babies taking their first breath, the whales migrating, the trees and the people both suffering and joyful. There’s nothing to fix. Allow yourself to relax into this vastness: grief, joy, plans, and spaciousness all included. Remember, you are connected to every being — tyrants, victims, lovers, and strangers — and that recognition is itself a kind of home.
A Poem of Love and Mindfulness as synonyms:  IN both there is room for everything This morning as I walked along the lakeshore, I fell in love with a wren and later in the day with a mouse the cat had dropped under the dining room table.
