Dave you are the appendix of the idw...ps I used to think it was a good idea until I see bret and Dave sucking the dick off of the label "intellectual dark web" you're not special for finally discovering that nuance exists. you guys suck. do something productive and helpful instead of circle jerking each other and bitching about the left and free speech. its already old and it hasn't even fucking started yet

The, "Left's over-compensation turning into totalitarianism" is a brilliant observation and analysis.

That's a very wrong reading of John 5. The "poor in spirit" are those who seek the truth about the very real evils and depths of depravity they are capable of that leads to a need for Salvation. The "meek" is actually translated as, "one who has weapons but keeps them sheathed." So it is those who can admit the truth about themselves and through seeking after truth, salvation from the possible evils of existence, experiencing putting your life in order, and consistently working through the inevitability of suffering inherent in existence are thus armed for any/all wars, but has learned what wars are worth fighting and those that are not worth fighting.

Yaron brook: "We can have the conversation respectfully" Also Yaron: "a story about fairies and gremlins and stuff" Yaron why can't you have a respectful conversation with a religious person, without strawmaning their beliefs. Why is it when you are mentioning people that have a role in this great movement, you mention the Weinstein brothers, sam hsrris, dave, but never Shapiro or Prager. Step off the militant atheist high horse and practice what you preach.

what a remarkably dull conversation this was. it seems Rubin has no critical faculties whatsoever and just agrees with everything a guest says. stefan's argument about society needing religion requires a history that doesn't exist. nonsense on stilts.

The assumption that business will regulate itself because of PR when they can donate a small sum of money to a charity and cover it up is simply naïve. The government is from the people for the people. If a corporation is hurting the people, they have the right to use the government.

It seems like the younger generations don't want an athourataion government as much as they think a governments purpose is to be athourataion and already holds most of the power they want it to.

how exactly does Rubin speak ignorantly about Jefferson? Maybe if you listened again, you might have misinterpreted him the first time.... just thought I'd be condacending for humor.

anyone who judges Founding Father Like Thomas Jefferson with such condescending ignorance does not have an opinion worth listening to or arguing against and conversations regarding any other topics inc politics should not be taken seriously. the past was such a bad place? yes with the standards of today applied to the past one could say that, but anyone espousing such an infantile and unenlightened opinion is passively attempting to convey a high moral standard. yet the high moral standard conveyed is for show and lacks any true substance. it is conveyed out of insecurity. and from that I can ascertain that the majority of this individual's political ideology verbalized is not out of heartfelt connection/comprehension with that persuasion but rather in attempt 2 portray 2 the person on the other side of the conversation that they are knowledgeable and intellectually sophisticated.
