Description
What’s it like dealing with pro-life protestors? Who are the people who come to women’s health clinics and preach at patients? Why do people on either side of the Pro-Choice/Pro-Life debate volunteer in this way? What have I learned? I’ll discuss all of that and more on this podcast.

This is Kassidy's 4th appearance on the show. She was the first guest and then she interviewed defenders Kari (from Concord, NH) and Winnie (from Orlando, FL). This time we're lucky enough to hear about her perspective of motherhood/repro-rights advocate, her run-in with the law, and what's new with the Greenville (SC) Women's Clinic.
Thank you for listening, sharing and interacting. Please follow Kassidy on TikTok (@gvl_defenderkassidy).
This is the special episode detailing what I experienced at the hands of entitled, malicious, un-Christ-like members of the anti-abortion community in Greenville, SC and the surrounding area.
On this episode, Jane, a clinic defender from Kansas, is kind enough to share with us what she experiences at the Planned Parenthood in Kansas. This is a great companion episode for Brian's episode. Thanks for listening.

Kari (pronounced like "kah-dee") is a defender in Concord, New Hampshire. Hear her unique account as a clinic defender in the Northeast. Kari and Kassidy both know what it's like to have a clinic be in "walking distance" of a church with anti-abortion sentiments. They share a disdain for public piety. And Kari sheds light on an interesting issue "how many more/fewer antis are showing up at clinics these days?
This is the episode where Cory tells us what it was like to be a clinic defender at the legendary Pink House in Mississippi. I could never do this interview justice - there's so much to discuss and I'm still learning myself. But I did my best and Cory was a gracious and charismatic guest, nonetheless. Listen and learn, Rudies.
We hear from Lindsay and Chloe. They are defenders with the ProChoice Defenders group in central Florida. Find them on TikTok and Instagram at (@prochoicedefenders_cfl). Listen and hear what it's like for this particular clinic's shared driveway with a CPC, the usefulness of exposing anti's on social media and all the usual questions I ask my guests.
Thanks-a-million to our two guests and to all the listeners!
Finally, two people speaking on this issue who actually know about clinic defense AND the reality of being a birthing person in the US. They discuss [Kassidy] going from pro-life to pro-choice, their mutual respect of each other's work, the lack of respect for abortion access in our country, and the bond we create with our fellow defenders. I almost released this episode early, because I'm so excited for y'all to hear it!
Thank you 100x to Winnie and Kassidy. Follow them both on TikTok at @swanoforlando and @insomnianarcoleps. Follow the SWANs on Instagram and Threads too!
On this episode, Stein, a defender in the Detroit, MI area, tells us what it's like to defend continuously, despite their organization changing their approach and names. I did my best to keep up and seem like I know what tf I'm doing out there. Stein was fantastic to talk to and you need to go follow their organization on IG : choiceaccessteam.
Stay beautiful, y'all.
On this episode, you'll hear from April, in Columbus, Georgia. April is a passionate defender. She shows us that one can maintain spirituality/religious beliefs and be a fervent defender of bodily autonomy. She also does a much better job of explaining the different roles for "clinic defenders" at the clinic (escort, parking lot attendant, traffic director, etc).
But, why, oh why did I not ask her what it's like for her clinic to share a driveway with a CPC!?
Lucky you! You get to hear from Brian (a defender from KC) in this episode.
On this episode we hear from Kassidy, a clinic defender from South Carolina. Kassidy is a very active advocate for pro-choice causes and is an amazing presence outside of her nearest clinic. Please follow her on TikTok: (@insomnianarcoleps) and find her group Upstate Pro-Choice Advocates on FB.
This episode marks the beginning of the second season. In this season, I'll be interviewing different defenders about their experiences outside clinics. I start by answering the questions myself.
On this episode, I go over habits and qualities that defenders demonstrate when they are at their best. Let me know what you think!
This episode is the last of the season. I plan to return by December with another round of episodes.
Content Warning: Some of the images, content and beliefs shared in this video may be triggering to some. In this episode I read over some of the propaganda anti-abortion protesters hand out outside of abortion clinics.
This is a video episode showing what we experience when anti-abortion men feel comfortable showing up to these women-centered healthcare facilities and spouting their unsolicited opinions.
They can be memorable, awful, good, self-serving, misogynist, helpful, pandering, racist, violent, kind, shallow, ignorant, strong, and pathetic. Men have a lot to do with causing and extinguishing the commotion outside of abortion clinics.
This episode is a video of what it's like to volunteer at one of these clinics. I do not work for or represent Greenville Women's Clinic. I am a volunteer clinic defender who chooses to offer his time at this particular clinic.
The views expressed in this video are partially meant to distract the protestors I interact with or entertain the viewers in the TikTok Live stream.
