Welcome to The Scambaiters with Jumping Johnny! In our second episode we show people how silly the International Money Fund scam is. In this scam, you get a junk email from a free mail provider. The scammer pretends be from the Fund and offers you several million dollars. The catch? You have to send a fee of a few hundred dollars. But what world organization needs to get paid in iTunes, Google Play or Steam cards? None, just scammers. Our first podcast!!! Hello from scambaiters Jumping Johnny and Joe Ubentook! In our first podcast from Johnny’s side, we have a ridiculous International Monetary Fund scammer deal with befuddled Anita Bhath and her family! Serious stuff for a moment though: the IMF deals in poverty relief, NOT offering you millions of dollars. If you get an email or call asking you to claim millions of dollars, it’s just a scam. These people will ask you to send a tiny amount in comparison to “unlock” or otherwise release your millions - JUST a few hundred dollars, for example. Or they may ask for gift cards. See common examples of these scams in action at our website scambait.net. Okay, back to the laughs - press play already! :) For daily updates follow us on Twitter @TheScambaiters and subscribe for video updates on our YouTube channel The Scambaiters. We are currently fighting internet crime — with dozens of bank and payment company accounts already closed with no compensation — and we need your support to help us keep scammers distracted, diverted and deactivated. We’re using 9-year-old and 7-year-old desktops and all proceeds are going to replace the older one. If you can’t spare it, please simply share it!!!
