She is the leader and founder of the Olivia Murphy Jazz Orchestra – a 19-piece big band performing in London and Birmingham. The orchestra won the Peter Whittingham Development Award in 2022 which funded a live recorded EP. Olivia has won numerous awards including the Jazzlife Alliance Young Composer Award, among others.
