This week we are talking to Grace Edwards of @shetoograceful! I suppose the first word you would call her is "model" but really this episode was so fun because of how thoughtful she was really on everything we discuss (though we do talk about being a fabulous VOGUE featured curve model, promise). We discuss religion, modeling, moving from a small town to the big city, and the inside on the modeling world. How fun. I loved it. You'll love it too. Promise.
Hey y'all,
It's been a while but we are now finally back. This week we are chatting with Madison Hatfield, a multi-hyphen talented human and all around delight. I got to watch her directorial debut, Post-Citrus, and we talk a lot about the journey of creating it and the story she wanted to tell through a string bikini top made out of oranges. We discuss some of her recent work on CW's Dynasty and Hulu's Atlanta and the auditioning process for both. Because it's me leading the discussion we get off topic a lot and we also talk about Promising Young Woman, First Wives Club, and my handyman on the roof makes a few appearances.

Hey y'all,
Welcome back for Maggie Robertson Part 2! I really hope you enjoyed our first episode and I think by the end you will feel like you've come to know her even better. In this episode we talk about her relationship with social media, believing in yourself when it comes to auditioning, and how as humans we refill our tank so we can keep giving to others. We also discuss Maggie's thoughts on why she thinks the world has really fallen in love with Lady Dimitrescu and the motion capture community at large. And WHAT was the surprise I was alluding to in Part 1. Find out!
Hey y'all,
Welcome to The Search for Pink Podcast! This week I have friend and actor Maggie Robertson. Maggie and I went to LAMDA four years ago to get our MA in classical acting and since then woah has she had a wild ride! About three months after graduation she booked a performance capture gig for a secretive project that she later realized was Resident Evil Village. She played Lady Dimitrescu, a role that went on to have a life way past the game. Lady Dimitrescu currently has has 1.1B tags on TikTok and a Maggie has grown her own huge following online. We talk about where she is currently in career and the work she has done since. Please listen and review!
Hi y'all,
On this episode I had the pleasure of talking to Mariana Novak about acting, social media, and how they intertwine. In the film industry there is a lot of pressure for actors to be "active" on social media and present a "brand" and what does that even mean? We discuss how Mariana began acting and then later down the road when she became conscious of the crossover it had with her online presence. There is so much pressure for actors to present themselves as a product and I really knew there was no one else that was as qualified (and no one I would enjoy discussing it with more) than Mariana Novak. Enjoy!

Hey y’all, today we are talking to the creator of Underbares, Genevieve Gralton. Underbares has created what @vogue calls, “the most comfortable bra you will ever know” and is known for its sustainability and passion to create comfy underwear for all. It all started in New York during Genevieve's early 20s. She was always on the search for a bra that could be chic and comfortable and couldn't find anything that met the mark. Without realizing it she was doing the research that would eventually become the DNA of Underbares. Without any formal design training she began testing prototypes for what would become their first ever product, The Every Day Bra. From her background in marketing she knew the value of feedback and surveying potential customers. She began by giving the bra to friends and family and began to collect what they did and didn't like. With their input she slowly began to grow a sustainable undergarment company that puts comfort and their customers opinion first. During this conversation we discuss sustainability, size inclusivity, and what actually makes women feel sexy. It is a great great interview and I kind of still can't believe it happened.
Hey y'all,
I had the absolute pleasure of talking to the owner and designer of Hola Gwapa. You probably already know that I absolutely adore female owned businesses, sustainable fashion, and female creatives who support other female creatives. Nisha 10000% ticks all of these boxes. I've loved learning more about her journey and how she's been on a similar path of interviewing creatives to figure out what path we are on ourselves. There is so much other female creatives and entrepreneurs can learn from her.
Make sure you're following her on @holagwapa !
Hi y'all,
Today we have Atlanta actor and my friend Lauren Buglioli on the podcast. Lauren't first audition was at 6 months old and she has been acting ever since. She's what I would call a Triple Crown as she's lived now in New York, LA, and now Atlanta. We talk a lot about mental health and staying strong and compassionate for ourselves as this road is long and full of disappointments. During the interview Lauren also shares one of the BEST audition horror stories I have ever heard (while also my heart absolutely broke for 18 year old Laura). I had such a lovely time.
Make sure you are following her on social:https://www.instagram.com/lauren_buglioli/
Also, she references a beautiful article written by actress Ann Dowd. Here's the link to that:

Hi y'all,
Today we are talking to writer and director to the film Unsung on the podcast. We talk about what it was like to be a first time director to such a challenging film (period piece, many locations, 35 minutes long, large cast). The film was made to create inperson conversations just as the pandemic hit which isolated her to only working through a computer
screen.

Hey y'all,
Today we have my friend and fellow actor Jessica Craig on the podcast. In this conversation we discuss growing up as introverted children and how that made us into the actors we are today. We also discuss how the industry will have an impact on self preceptation and how to prep your brain and heart to be in it for the long haul.
I so love talking to Jessica and
Hi y'all,
Today we have tv and film costume shopper Alli Yatto on the podcast. Alli has worked on projects such as Devious Maids, Passengers, Spiderman: Homecoming, and is currently working on the tv show Dynasty. I had absolutely the BEST time talking to Alli about everything that goes into sourcing and curating all of the amazing looks that happen every week of the show. Alli is truly a breath of fresh air and I'm so excited for you to hear our conversation!
Hi y'all,
Today we have thrifting maven and #hodgepodgestyle creator Audrey Stratton of @affectionatleyaudrey
Audrey is constantly inspiring her followers to embrace their own unique style while staying true to her own love for sustainable fashion. You all know how much I love thrifting and so it's been a long time coming finally bringing someone to talk about it on the podcast.
In this episode Audrey talks about expressing her internal growth with her style while living in Nashville and how she now encourages others to do the same. During the interview we discuss her reel that was featured by Instagram that was interpreted in a way she didn't intend. It led to a lot of public push back and made her reassess the relationship she has with social media. Luckily for us she is back!
This was such a lovely conversation and I'm so excited for you to listen.
Much love!
Hi y'all,
Today we have the fabulously talented Emily Palmer on the podcast. As an actor she is known for shows like Cobra Kai, American Horror Story, and Mercy Street (also, check out her IMDB for some cool projects in the works).
She's also a talented musician and singer. She's very very good. Link to her single: Rebekah:https://open.spotify.com/album/0vTt94zaApm9cHL3XGWfNQ?highlight=spotify:track:2E99QYXLO7YM66u8mhbgJD#_=_ ).
So many amazing future projects in the works. So delighted she let me sit down with her last week.
Hi y'all,
This week we have graphic designer and illustrator Jeremy Slagle on the podcast. Jeremy's work is based on empathy and storytelling and asking the question, "how can I love them through my art?" On the podcast we discuss the collaboration process with the various non-profits and businesses he has worked with throughout his career. We also chat about the children's books he has illustrated, Chin Up Chinchilla and Hip Hooray Hippo. Both are books focussed on teaching children empathy in the good times and the bad. I really loved learning about how Jeremy approaches his work and I seriously believe any creative can apply it to their own.
Hi y'all,
We have Anna Vikol on the podcast and we got to discuss all things espresso/bean/and latte related. We answer your pressing questions such as:
Is my barista judging my order?
Why can't I have a large cappuccino?
What do baristas drink at home?
Does light roast have more caffeine than dark roast?
And SO MUCH MORE
Hi y'all,
As you will hear in the intro I was very excited to talk to this weeks guest Branden Cook. We initially met while both studying on different courses at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (sounds fancy, we refer to it as LAMDA throughout the interview). Since then he was on the HBO show Industry and various other projects. After school he moved to LA where he booked the lead in the CW remake of the 1980s classic The Lost Boys. Unfortunately shooting had to stop after 4 days just as COVID hit the US.
We cover his time in London, what it seeing an all black cast perform Death of a Salesman in London made him realize, and I'm sure I say some random stuff that doesn't really connect.
Branden is so fabulous and I loved talking to him. I really hope you enjoy our chat.
Hi y'all,
So today's episode is a really special one. Last week I had the privilege to talk with Quianah Uptown, Southern food justice advocate, artist, creative entrepreneur and community planner. She has hosted over 24 dinners in her community to facilitate conversations focussing on food and art and is now in the process of finding a permanent space. With the help of other passionate creatives she has created the vision for Nourish Botanica, "Imagine a space that has brought together the best of black culture, combined with the healthier local food around. Imagine a space that brought Black Healing and Joy to life".
As of March 6th 2020, the Go Fund Me for Nourish Botanica has raised over 75 thousand dollars. Even though that is a MAJOR success, Quianah explains the set backs that have come their way and why there is still a far way to go.
It's a really special conversation and I'm so thankful that Quianah and I got to have it. I really hope you check it out.

Hi y'all!
We've got Akon Adichol on the podcast today and I am so thrilled for you to hear her story. She is an actor and activist and truly beam of sunshine. She started modeling in 2017 and kept at it during years of constant rejection. She's only been signed since quarantine in 2020 and since has been BUSY. She's shot campaigns, done stunning editorials and was on the cover of ITALIAN VOGUE BABY. Harpers Bazarre recently highlighted in the article, 12 Stunning Black Plus-Size Models You Need to Know. In the article they say, "Akon could technically be categorized as “new” to the modeling industry—not that you could tell from her slew of high-fashion editorials and recent Italian Vogue cover. Her versatility is as impressive as her activism (she’s an ambassador for stand for educational, a global community providing access to education for children living in poverty and conflict-affected areas), and I know that big things are to come from this Sudanese native". Beautiful things are in her future for sure.
Hi y'all,
This episode I'm talking to the wonderful Jennica Hill. Jennica is an actor, improviser, writer, and producer based in Atlanta. We first met working together with the theatre company Vernal and Sere and she quickly became one of my favorite people. Recently Jennica started making YouTube videos encouraging her viewers to be, "your full magical self". The first video she spoke about discovering her bisexuality while married to her (very amazing) husband. She talks about her fears about coming out and the what it has been like since. She has been so candid and honest in all of her videos and I'm so happy she agreed to chat with me. In this video we also talk foot modeling, competitive jump roping, and moving out of LA. (NOW you gotta listen). She always says that if her videos can help one person then it has been worth it. Well, if this podcast episode can help one person love themselves a little more it is very worth it indeed.
