Erica Suter is the FIT SOCCER QUEEEEEEEEN! Not just on social media but in life you guys!
Erica got her degree in economics and then pursued a masters degree in exercise science while playing soccer for Johns Hopkins University. She is a soccer performance coach who specializes in working with pre adolescent and adolescent females. She is very focused on developing great content, not just for her athletes but for anyone in her audience and is keen to develop not just the skills these athletes need for their sport but also to be strong, confident, healthy and autonomous after their sport career is over.
In this coversation we covered a lot of things ranging from how her coaching shifted online during the closures they experienced in Maryland, what lead her to youth sports and why her role in educating youth about long term healthy practices is so important later in life, to how COVID is impacting not just the physical health but the mental health of our next generation.
I hope you enjoy this episode. If you want to connect with Erica you can find her in the following areas!

Christina Johnson is a self proclaimed HUMAN FIRST but to give credit where credit is due, she is the leader of Medicine Hat's SARC (Sexual Assault Centre), a registered social worker, yoga practitioner and instructor, and a member of a local organization called 'The Wolfpack' which focuses on bringing light and creating space for discussing mens issues.
The reason I bring that last point up on this podcast, which primarily focuses on health and wellness for women, is because we cannot address mens issues without women playing a role as well in creating space for those conversations and the evolution of defining masculinity. We have faced recently in our local community a surge of suicide in the 35-50 year old range and this conversation feels really relevant and really necessary and hopefully we can bring some comfort or guidance to some of the resources available to those who are hurting or those who want to do more for the men in their lives.
We also discuss the ever evolving relationship women have with food, where those food narratives and body image issues stem from and how Chirstina's personal journey with food narratives was impacted by her decision to get into yoga and then follow that path to become a yoga instructor. Lot of good stuff packed into this episode (and only one minor technical glitch I had to edit out lol). I hope you enjoy this episode.

Kelly Rattanee is a shamanic healer + transformational coach who specializes in liberating women from sensual suppression so they can turn on their radiance and shift into a woman who owns her FEMME POWER!
That is the bio from her Facebook Page and I love it and could not have summarized her any better than she can herself so I won't take credit for that. We talk all about her experience in the fitness and dieting industry as a former personal trainer and gym owner and how she has shifted into this amazing coach who focuses on introducing women to their most amazing selves and be present and free from the bonds that our society has created.
We talk all about the unhealthy behaviors that come with fitness competitions, how we speak about our bodies in front of young girls, and how social media keeps us down by perpetrating self doubt and making us feel unworthy. This conversation could have been hours long and I definitely will be bringing her back to talk about her expertise around sexuality and sensuality and pleasure but for now, so many good pieces of wisdom here!
If you want to connect with Kelly you absolutely must check out her social media:

I am joined by owner of The Hub PT: High River, former Olympic bobsleigh forerunner, strength coach and high level female athlete Lisa Szabon-Smith as we discuss training, motivation, scheduling, how to balance owning a business, having personal athletic goals, and having a family! At the time of this recording her business has been shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic yet she remains strong and positive about how to move through this uncertainty and come out better on the other side! We had so much fun talking about all these things that the podcast ran a little longer than expected but I just couldn't cut any of this great conversation we got to have! I hope you enjoy this episode!
I am joined by Nike sponsored Olympic 400m Hurdler and Olympic 4x400m Relay athlete, Sage Watson, as we discuss everything from how to get university athletic scholarships and what she is doing now that the Tokyo 2020 Olympics have been postpone, to what motivates her and what kind of a message she wants to send to young women about loving their bodies! Check it out if you want to be as inspired as I was talking to this amazing young woman from right here in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada! Enjoy!
Discussing topics of strength training, nutrition, sport performance and health and wellness for women who were made for more.
