A great foundation of “slavery” and the historical economy based on “slave labor” where those freedoms were not granted to people of color. So just know some of the chaos and pain are branches to a history of inequality and hurt and I think we all need to ask the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ what true racial reconciliation looks like both in the church, education and also politics because this is just not it, to look at the wounds of a community and refuse to look at what historically afflicted it. This today really upsets me, the lack of balance of not looking at this because how can we serve the hearts
I understand this and all of what’s said about abortion, but I wish the minister would’ve addressed the history of black women and the poverty and systematic structures that have been put in place that make these women feel as though abortion is what they look too when they feel they cannot afford to take care of their children. I wish the need for deliverance for the black community was mentioned and I wish that the history and series of events that have lead to this was mentioned so we could truly “see” the broken decisions out of the pain of the community… I wish abortion was addressed among the nation wide demographics not just the pathology of a community this ministry hasn’t shown interest in the history of to understand and pursue its deliverance. It feels as though the black community is singled out as dealing out chaos and there’s no desire to see the “roots” to that led to it. I’m very disappointed by how this “nation wide issue” was spoken of from this limited perspective. D
