Create your ideal work week with theme days with Cara Chace

Ready to stop reacting to the things that pop up, and start working on the things that will move your business forward? Whether you’re going from one client to-do list to another, cramming in tasks between meetings, wondering where you’ll fit in your own content and marketing work for your business, or trying to balance work and home life and feeling like your family’s schedule is always throwing a wrench in your plans, the juggle is real and we’re burning out as a result. Your mental load is too heavy to handle, you don’t have time to get everything done, and it’s stunting your business growth. That hamster wheel feeling like you’re running and running but you never get anywhere? You are not alone in feeling like that. And when you love what you do and you love your family, then you get guilt on top of it, like “What’s wrong with me that I can’t make this work? I’m GOOD at this stuff!” This episode is for you, if that’s how you’re feeling right now. There is an easier way, and my guest today is going to show you how to do it. Cara Chace is a productivity and business mentor and the creator of the Theme Day planning method and it’s a game changer for your business. She lives her passion: showing women how to navigate life priorities while building a business they love and helps them map out their ideal work week and get laser-focused on their priorities so they can pull themselves away of overwhelm. Cara has been balancing her aversion to rules and bosses with the need for structure since 2013, when she had her first child and took on the role of social media manager for the band Megadeth and their 13 million online fans. After realising being a work-from-home entrepreneur was the best fit for her life, she built a digital marketing agency from scratch, had another kid, navigated constantly shifting priorities, moving houses, and life demands...and made it her mission to Work Better Live Well, with systems, workflows, and boundaries as an entrepreneur to help her get the right things done while still living life the way she wants to. If you’re looking to create a simple, easy structure to plan and grow your business, with time for rest and actual weekends off, Cara is the person you go to. She introduced me to the concept of “No meeting days” a little while ago and it immediately I felt like the pressure was lifted! Such a simple concept, such a great result from actioning it, and I’m really excited for her to share it with you today. Listen in as we talk about why we tend to cram it all in and bounce from one thing to another as business owners and entrepreneurs, how "no meeting" days help smooth out your working week, and setting boundaries without stress! Want more visibility, connection & sales with less work? Do this with your content.

Create your content, put it out there, and enjoy lots of new sales. Wouldn’t it be nice if it was that easy! The reality is, not everyone opens and reads all of your emails. And on socials? The algorithm won’t show all of your content to all of your followers, and even if it did, there’s so much content out there now that as consumers, we tend to scroll more than we actually stop, read or watch. Your message needs to reach the right person, at the right time, and stand out in a sea of other content if it’s going to convert to sales, and that means creating your content and posting it once, isn’t enough. Your perfect potential clients are on lots of different platforms. It’s time to get comfortable being more visible, and sharing your content multiple times, on multiple platforms, in multiple formats. Yes, we still focus on one main content and visibility platform. The hub of your social media engine. For me, that’s my podcasts, for you it might be Instagram, LinkedIn, or Tik Tok. And we’re still going to prioritise email marketing, because that’s our safety net and our highest touchpoint opportunity. You can’t get banned from email overnight or have your account blocked like you can with Facebook, and when you do it right, email feels like a personal letter that lets you connect with your subscriber the same way you would when you’re chatting with your bestie. So we’re already busy doing those two things, how can we then add more visibility and consistency to showing up on all the other platforms without having to work 24/7? We repurpose the content we’ve already created and we find simple ways to do it. --- Mentioned in this episode: Get the Step By Step Simple Content Repurposing with Marissa program during presale until April and save $100! https://bit.ly/SCRwithMarissa --- Ready to simplify your business? 5 Easy ways to increase your visibility

The obvious way to make more money in your business is to make more sales. The easiest way to make more sales is to get your offer in front of more people. Specifically, the right people. the people you can help with your product or service.  So how do you get in front of them without taking too much time away from everything else you’re already doing as a business owner or entrepreneur? How do you increase your visibility without having to spend a ton of money, time and effort doing so?  For me the answer is to be a little bit strategic about the actions I’m taking in my business. I only like to work a couple of hours each day - around 8 hours a week - so when I’m planning any action in my business I like it to be fun and flowy and easy to implement. The easier it is, the more likely I am to do it.  Here are 5 of my favourite easy ways to increase my visibility and get in front of more of my ideal potential customers! ---  Mentioned in this episode:  Virtual Summit Search  Simplify & Scale program  ---  Check out my resources to simplify your business: https://www.marissaroberts.com/resources/  ---  Enjoyed this episode? Boundary setting with grace as a service based business owner with AnnMarie Rose

Time and time again I see business owners getting overwhelmed and burning out because they’re taking too much on, they’re saying yes to everything and overworking themselves doing things that aren’t necessarily helping their business grow. It’s easy to get caught up in your business to do list and just keep going and going thinking everything is urgent and important when in reality, saying no is one of the most productive things you can do for your business. You don’t have to give your advice away for free. You don’t have to collaborate with everyone that asks. You don’t have to give discounts and bonuses that put you into scarcity mode instead of abundance. You don’t owe anyone anything, and it’s perfectly ok to set boundaries as a business owner so you can honour your time, effort and energy and build a business that fits with your life. That’s why you started it in the first place! Today I'm excited to chat with Online Business Strategust AnnMarie Rose about boundary setting with grace. Designing your energy-aligned schedule to work smarter and easier, not harder with Rai Cornell

We start our businesses because we have a passion for our industry and we want to help people, but we also want more freedom as well as a great income. The problem is, when we first jump into entrepreneurship, we tend to go ALL IN. We’re not working 9-5 in our first few years of business, we’re working 24/7. We’re up till midnight on our laptops while the rest of the family is asleep. We’re thinking about our business ALL DAY and finding it hard to switch off and have downtime because we’re so intent on making it work! We feel like we have to wear all the hats and do all the things because we’re worried we can’t afford to outsource or delegate for the first few years, we want to make the most of any cash flow we have. The problem is… when we try to run a business this way, we burn out fast. Your business is an extension of YOU, you’re the heart and soul of it. It wouldn’t exist without you. If you want your business to be a success, you need to first consider your own energy as your number one priority, then look at the tasks you’re actioning as part of growing your business. Today I’m excited to chat with Rai Cornell, who has been building online businesses for over 15 years and helps her clients explore the possibilities of what their life can look like when they design their own energy-aligned business, making the most of their time (without working from dawn ‘til dusk!), and waking up each day feeling excited to get to work! Tune in as we talk about why we tend to overload ourselves as business owners and then struggle to get everything done, how designing an energy-aligned schedule helps us work smarter and easier, not harder, and which steps should we take to design a schedule that is aligned to our energy. 6 Bad Habits That Kill Your Productivity with Allison Scholes

Are you sabotaging your productivity? If you’re wondering why you’re working so much in your business but you’re not seeing a lot of momentum or results yet, it might just be that there are a few little habits that are getting in the way of you achieving your business goals. Think about your workday from start to finish. What are your main priorities? What are you focusing on? Is it the stuff that moves your business forward in terms of growth and sales, or do you feel busy all day but then look back and think, “Nothing actually got done?!?” I only like to work a couple of hours each day, and I run 2 businesses, so that means I need to be really productive with my time. Which is fantastic when everything is aligned, I’m in the zone, I’m working in flow… but sometimes, it’s the little things that I slip up on, and I know I’m not the only one doing it. There are things we don’t consciously think about as we’re doing them, and one by one they don’t seem like big things, but when you add them all up, they make a huge difference to how productive we are. So what are these things? What are the little habits that are killing our productivity? I have a very special guest on the show today who is going to walk us through 6 of them one by one AND show us how to handle them smoothly and take back our productivity as business owners and entrepreneurs! Allison Scholes is a Content Coach and Podcaster who helps mompreneurs create less, but BETTER content through coaching, templates and her content creation club. Allison also hosts her Podcast, Social Media for Mompreneurs. Allison believes content creation should be fun and done with ease, not overwhelming! With her sassy and fun personality, mixed with her creativity and love for sweatpants and coffee, she’s able to deliver the simple and creative tools to help mompreneurs boost their business with confidence and ease. She knows exactly how it feels to grow a business and brand, create content, AND raise a family at the same time so she can definitely relate to our need for productivity AND the habits that are holding us back. Crowdfunding and Pre-Selling for your Business with Shannon Lohr

Crowdfunding has become a very popular choice for small business owners and it’s a very clever way to pre-sell your product. It’s a fantastic option to raise the money you need to create and launch your product, but it can feel quite overwhelming to get started. It’s not as simple as just setting up your Kickstarter page, then sitting back and watching the money come rolling in! Don’t let that hold you back - this is a fantastic opportunity for you to sell your product before you even need to create any inventory, and having your customers pay for the product upfront means you’ll have money to pay for production without needing to go into debt. My guest today is going to walk us through crowdfunding and pre-selling for your business so you don’t have to figure it all out on your own! Founder and CEO of Factory45, Shannon Lohr works with aspiring entrepreneurs all over the globe to launch sustainable & ethical fashion brands the right way, from the start. Over the past 10 years, she has mentored hundreds of people who have an idea for a clothing brand but don’t have a fashion background or feel stuck at a dead-end. Shannon can show you how to source materials, set up manufacturing, and raise money to launch your brand. My systems, tools and strategies for taking a break from my business

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback you gave me on my last episode where I talked about what it felt like to go on my 2 week cruise and have my business run itself while I was away!  A lot of you said it was a fun one to listen to and really helped you break out of that mindset of “I have to be on all the time as a business owner”, I'm so glad you found the episode helpful!  Today I’m going to go into more detail on the systems and tools and strategies I used to be able to take that break and have my business keep running smoothly while I was away - how I handled content creation which is the key to my business growth, and how I handled sales and customer service while I was away, not touching anything in my business while I was on the cruise.  ---  Mentioned in this episode:  Take a Break Templates  Google Workspace (affiliate link)  Book Like A Boss (affiliate link)  Website Contact page  ThriveCart (affiliate link)  ConvertKit (affiliate link)  Meta Business Suite app  Victoria Boyd's Social Sales Funnel training   The Simpler Business Mastermind  ---  Enjoyed this episode? Content repurposing with Felly Day

Consistent, helpful content is the key to growing your business online.  It’s how your ideal customer gets to know who you are and how you can help them, it’s a fantastic way to prove you know what you’re talking about in your industry, it shows people what it would be like to work with you, and it encourages them to take that next step - to book in for your service or buy your product. So why do we procrastinate on content creation? Why do we post & ghost on socials? Why do we neglect our email lists? Usually, it’s because we feel like we don’t have enough time to create new content, we don’t know what to say, or we don’t think we’re very good at it. Content creation feels like a big job - it’s time-consuming, there are so many places that we feel like we need to show up on these days, and it’s really hard to keep coming up with new content! Here’s the good news - you don’t actually need to create new content every day. There’s a much easier way to show up consistently online, and my guest today is here to teach you how to do it! Content Repurposing Agency Owner Felly Day helps ambitious service providers and coaches create a sustainable business, grow through digital marketing and build a life on their own terms in a way that feeds their spirit. Felly specialises in helping her clients create a core content strategy that embodies their own energy, vision and dreams, and she believes that marketing success comes from creating messaging that is distinctly you. If you’ve already got content you’ve created previously, you can use that in multiple ways to build brand awareness and sell out your offers. Don’t burn yourself out constantly trying to create new content. Sales and success don’t come from sharing the newest and trendiest stuff! In fact, most of your audience needs to hear the same thing over and over again before they’re familiar with it, truly understand it, relate to it and decide to take action and buy! Tune in as Felly and I talk about what content repurposing is and how it can benefit your business, the difference between content repurposing and content redistribution, and the easiest way to get started repurposing your content! What happened when I took a 2 week (no internet) break from my businesses

I’m back after my 2 week cruise to New Zealand!  It was wonderful.  I thought I’d share what it was like - what I did before I left so the businesses would still run smoothly while I was gone, what it was like during the trip, and what it was like to return to regular life and business after it.  x Marissa  --- Mentioned in this episode: The Simpler Business Mastermind  --- Enjoyed this episode? Creating a Luxury Brand with Elva Li

You may think that branding is only relevant for large corporations with a huge customer base, but that’s not necessarily true!  Branding for all businesses - big or small, product, coaching or service based - is important because it plays a huge role in helping your potential client or customer decide whether to buy from you.  Your brand is a reflection of the experience people will have with you. The look and feel of your online presence is seen as a preview to what it’s like to buy from you, be coached by you, partner with you or work with you. It provides the emotional connection between you and your potential client, and if you’re strategic with your branding, it has the power to draw your ideal client to you like a magnet and do most of your selling for you.  For example, if you’re looking to attract high ticket clients - those who are happy to invest because they value the premium experience and the accountability of a high ticket offer, your branding needs to align with that experience. So how do you create that? Today we have an expert of the show to share some tips to help!  Specialising in helping female coaches and founders, Elva Li is a Luxury Branding Coach, Creative Director, and Speaker who helps her clients create a luxury brand so they can attract high-end clients, increase their influence, impact, and income.  Elva has 10 years of experience in business advisory, coaching, and luxury brand styling. She combines her creative flair with her business savviness to help visionary female coaches and founders feel confident online, onboard high-end clients, and become the most iconic version of themselves.  Tune in as Marissa and Elva talk about what defines a luxury brand, how can luxury branding help your business grow, and how to create your luxury brand.  Download Elva’s e-Magazine "Luxury Branding - The Essentials”  See more from Elva at her website and on Instagram  ---  Enjoyed this episode?
