When supporting PLCs as an instructional coach, we want to set the expectation that we are there to provide expertise and background but that it is the teachers who take ownership and leadership of the PLC. As coaches, we are not members of PLCs but rather we can help teachers begin to truly work as a team with all students’ best interests in mind. Steve Barkley is the Chief Learning Officer and Executive Vice-President of PLS 3rd Learning. In 2006, Gretchen received her bachelor’s degree at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
