Marriage/marital problems, parenthood/stresses with parenthood, pregnancy/complications with pregnancy, whew Jesus! God has been so good and so faithful. We've come to this moment grateful, however, it wasn't easy. I'm sharing a portion of our testimony in this episode. More to come!
"...In sickness and in health", when we hear that part of the vows, we tend to say, "God forbid", but what if God allows it? My Husband, Son, and I had our first and hopefully last encounter with COVID-19. It brought us even closer together and God brought us through once again. Here's our story.
Lordy, today's episode is jam-packed with a good ole dose of transparency. If I'm not honest about what I've faced and survived, how could I ever expect to be taken seriously? Whatever I learn, I share. I'm sure there's something in this episode that you can relate to. Blessings!
You ever wanna just CAN but you CAN'T? Well, this episode is for you LOL. #ImSickaMe #GottaDoBetter
The wins that you deem "small" are big to someone else. Let's stop minimizing when things go right just because there's no fanfare. I celebrate your wins with you. Welcome to the winners' circle :)
Today, we're talking about transitions and how they change us. There's beauty in the ending of a thing, just as there's beauty in beginning. Take this opportunity to evaluate how you handle change and what you can change to get the most out of it.
Scripture Reference: Matthew 14:22-31
We all know what lying is. We know how it feels when we're lied on, and lied to. What about when WE lie? Do we understand the impact of so-called "little white lies" or lying by omission? Let's examine ourselves, shall we?
Check your love. Check how you love. Check to make sure that you truly know what pure love is. God showed me how my prayers for my Husband weren't as pure as I thought they were because my love needed refining. I pray that my realization helps someone to examine themselves so that God gets the glory from their expression of love.
For Scripture reference, see 1 Corinthians 13:1-8 (AMP).
Oh yeah, today we're gonna talk about toxic traits. Not those toxic traits of others, but of ourselves. Time to do a little housekeeping.
Whewwwww! It's been a wild few months. From my Husband and I welcoming our first child (Heeey Alonzo!) to dealing with the physical and emotional challenges of new Motherhood, I've had to learn how to pivot like never before. Join me on the journey!
You guyyyyyys! I had been keeping a little secret. I'M PREGNANT!!!! That kinda sorta explains my absence, a little bit. Please bear with your girl and please send prayers this way for me, my Hubby, and baby Alonzo. Recorded on 10.10.2022. Also, for a full circle moment, go back and listen to season 1, episode #13, the "Christmas (bonus) episode" where I first begin to share the news of the infertility diagnosis. It's crazy what can happen when you let God have His way. Amen? Amen!
Listen! Don't let these people stress YOU out with THEIR problems! Period! Recorded on 4.8.2022.
You DO have it, you ARE enough, and it's NOT over! Keep going and keep pouring your oil, it'll pay off in due time. I love y'all, be blessed!
As we come upon a very poignant holiday, I wanted to give encouragement to those of us who are struggling in our relationship with our Mothers. I see you, I hear you, I understand you, I AM you! We're in this together. God bless all of the Mothers and Mother figures who have stepped in to fill gaps that they may not have even known were there, we honor you!
Upon my anxiety attack this morning, I had a renewed sense of determination to not be a damaging element to my future children. If you didn't like your childhood, you have the responsibility to not repeat those cycles. It's difficult but it's not impossible. Godspeed, my friends!
It all started with this quote from my Husband: “Not everybody wants to be Noah and start building before the first raindrop”.
#StartBuilding #Faith #Noah #BuildIt #MustardSeed
Could it be…….that maybe the reason why some of us don’t like what we see in the mirror is because we resemble some of the people who have hurt us? Like we LITERALLY look like these people because we’re related to them. I know, you didn’t want to talk about that, that’s too deep. That’s too much for the face and the book, but think about it…..
*Side Note*
I was supposed to upload this on Friday but life happened LOL.
“It’s excellence that we strive for, not perfection”
Pausefunei Soekneiuaha, “The Simply Sef Podcast”, 2.25.2022
Social anxiety is a real thing, being unintentionally rude is also a thing. There are ways to navigate this world in a more thoughtful and aware way. We learn as we live. Let's discuss.
Wheeeeeew, I didn't mean to cut like that, but since you're here, let's discuss LOL. It's all in love and my desire is to see us grow, Amen? Amen!
