Pacific Beach Coalition is one of the most established beach clean up groups in the Peninsula. Culture plays a huge role in one's lifestyle and identity. In terms of the environment, our culture reflects on what is available and accessible to us, considering our social-economic status. For this episode, we invited Carlos Acuna to converse about our cultures with him growing up from El Salvador and with Chris coming from the Philippines.
Today we interview Karen Groppi, a Civil Engineer and Professor at Cabrillo College near the City of Santa Cruz. We discuss a wide range of topics, Wastewater, Trees, being a citizen vs a consumer, do we need most of the products we buy and most importantly is Western thinking destroying the planet? 
Everything is communicated: politics, social issues, showbiz... and even the environment. For this episode, we invited Professor Erica Pulley to survey the current environmental communication landscape and give mass communication students and the public some general guidelines on how to be an effective communicator and how to be environmental literate so we would not fall for greenwashing and pseudo-eco-friendly marketing tactics.
In episode 2 we had the privilege of interviewing legendary Bruce Greenstein. Bruce has been in the Sustainability and the Green Construction field for over 10 plus years, he is the Department Chair and Professor at Cabrillo College, he has served as the Deputy Director for the Community Colleges Chancellors Office and is a business owner of Impact  Energy a construction company.  In the Green Experience 2, we talk with Bruce about what is sustainability, how to apply sustainability in the workforce and what are practical steps everyone can use to become sustainable.  Which leads to the questions Are you in Synergy with the environment? Why are you practicing sustainability is it for the money, environment or the people?

Learn what it is like to be a nomad naturalist! Today, I'm joined by Chloe Van Loon to talk about life as a nomad in the Pacific Northwest. Today I am going to be talking about what redlining is, and how this corrupt practice negatively impacts climate change and global warming along with people living in these areas. My interviewee, Ingrid Morales, gives an insightful look into what redlining is and what adverse effects it has on Mother Earth by providing us with a personal experience of living in a redlined area herself. We dive into topics that include how we can better the situations for people residing in redlined territories, what will happen if nothing is done for making these areas more sustainable to live in, and much more.
