Description

When life gives you lemons, what do you do with them? Over here at The Squeeze—we talk about it—"it" being our mental health and well being. Host Taylor Lautner's (no, not that guy, but she is married to that guy) introduction to mental health was at a young age, witnessing friends and family suffer in ways she couldn't fully understand. She started a nursing career in the peak of the pandemic and has been struggling with her own mental health ever since. Tay is joined co-host, husband Taylor Lautner, in addition to celebrity and expert guests to further the conversation surrounding mental wellness. At the end of the day, we're all pretty similar; even those living in the lime-est of lights can be weighed down by sour lemons. In addition to sharing coping strategies and stories, we hope that above all, this podcast offers the comfort of knowing you are not alone.

In this week’s episode, Tay and Taylor are joined by Kevin Jonas! Kevin opens up about life on his current tour and dives into his perspective on the younger generation and social media, along with the story of how he taught himself to play guitar growing up. He also drops some exciting news about the upcoming Camp Rock 3, which leads Taylor to tell the hilarious story of how he auditioned for the original Camp Rock… and didn’t get the part. Kevin gets candid about the mental side of touring, reflecting on the post-tour blues and how seeking therapy after his last tour helped him navigate that transition. He also talks about his wife and daughters, what family life looks like for them, and whether his girls have any interest in singing or acting in the future. To close, Kevin gives us a first look into his new single Changing, sharing the story behind the song, his first-ever solo performance, and whether more solo projects might be in his future! Be sure to follow Kevin on https://www.instagram.com/kevinjonas/You can stream A Very Jonas Christmas here: https://www.hulu.com/watch/6eec7c0b-d249-4341-b538-23455dc97efcTo email us your questions or share your story, you can reach out to lautner.thesqueezepodcast@gmail.comBe sure to rate, review, and follow the podcast so you don't miss an episode! Plus, follow us on all of our socials:The SqueezeInstagram: https://instagram.com/thesqueeze/TikTok: https://tiktok.com/@thesqueezepodcast Tay LautnerInstagram: https://instagram.com/taylautner/TikTok: https://tiktok.com/@mrstaylautnerAmazon Storefront: https://urlgeni.us/amazon/FDXj7 Taylor LautnerInstagram: https://instagram.com/taylorlautner/TikTok: https://tiktok.com/@taylorlautnerTo learn more from The Lemons Foundation, follow https://instagram.com/lemonsbytay/ and visit https://lemonsbytay.comEpisode SponsorsFor a limited time, go to tonal.com to get $1000 off your Tonal purchase plus a free four-year warranty.Visit gruns.co and use code SQUEEZE at checkout for up to 52% off your firstorder. The RealReal is the world’s largest and most trusted resource for authenticated luxury resale. In this week’s episode, Tay and Taylor are joined by actress, entrepreneur, and sustainability advocate Nikki Reed — marking the first time The Squeeze has ever welcomed someone from the Twilight franchise! Nikki and Taylor reminisce on how they first met, share memories from filming, and look back on what it was really like to be part of a cultural phenomenon. She then opens up about stepping away from acting to focus on wellness, family, and sustainability — all rooted in her drive to live a mission-based life. Nikki and Taylor get candid about mental health during the height of fame, the pressures that came with it, and the lessons they’ve both learned since. In this week’s episode, Tay is joined by Dancing with the Stars pro Britt Stewart and her husband, actor Daniel Durant! This marks the first time The Squeeze has ever had an interpreter on the podcast, helping bridge the conversation between Britt, who is hearing, and Daniel, who is deaf. The two share how their partnership on DWTS grew into a romantic relationship — from Britt learning ASL to communicate with Daniel to how she taught him dance and rhythm in completely new ways. They open up about their wedding, Daniel’s upbringing and growing up with his aunt, and the misconceptions they wish more people understood about the deaf community. Britt reflects on her journey in dance, what it means to be the first Black female pro on DWTS, and how the entertainment industry can become more inclusive for all. They also talk about supporting each other’s representation, their biggest self-care and mental health tools, and what they’re most proud of — in themselves and in each other.Be sure to follow Britt https://instagram.com/brittbenae/ and Daniel https://instagram.com/danielndurant/!To email us your questions or share your story, you can reach out to lautner.thesqueezepodcast@gmail.comBe sure to rate, review, and follow the podcast so you don't miss an episode!
