Description

When life gives you lemons, what do you do with them? Over here at The Squeeze—we talk about it—"it" being our mental health and well being. Host Taylor Lautner's (no, not that guy, but she is married to that guy) introduction to mental health was at a young age, witnessing friends and family suffer in ways she couldn't fully understand. She started a nursing career in the peak of the pandemic and has been struggling with her own mental health ever since. Tay is joined co-host, husband Taylor Lautner, in addition to celebrity and expert guests to further the conversation surrounding mental wellness. At the end of the day, we're all pretty similar; even those living in the lime-est of lights can be weighed down by sour lemons. In addition to sharing coping strategies and stories, we hope that above all, this podcast offers the comfort of knowing you are not alone.

In this week’s episode, Tay and Taylor are joined by Amanda Hirsch, the host of Not Skinny But Not Fat! They start off chatting about The Summer I Turned Pretty, their thoughts on this season, and the bullying that’s been happening to the cast. Amanda shares the story behind the name Not Skinny But Not Fat, how she first got into the world of podcasting, one thing about the industry most people don’t realize, and how her show has grown into interviewing major celebrities. Amanda also opens up about navigating online criticism, maintaining boundaries with social media, and how she tells the difference between anxiety and intuition. She then gets candid about mom guilt, how parenting has changed her relationship with her husband, and what it looks like to balance babies, marriage, and a career she loves. Amanda shares advice for couples who may feel nervous about taking that next step, reflects on how motherhood has influenced her work, and finishes off with what she’s most proud of in herself today!Be sure to follow Amanda on https://instagram.com/notskinnybutnotfat/!Check out Not Skinny But Not Fat here: https://notskinnybutnotfat.komi.io/?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAad-HL1QoerBqNQIaFB5jjIsFd7LBJ4bk1qVKDxUdDxBJV7xYYVY_xFVpy0o9Q_aem_EHY9cnRTiiEUnRa2COgx9wTo learn more and buy tickets to our Mental Health Summit, visit: https://www.lemonsbytay.com/the-lemons-foundations-mental-health-summitTo email us your questions or share your story, you can reach out to lautner.thesqueezepodcast@gmail.comBe sure to rate, review, and follow the podcast so you don't miss an episode!
