A comedy talk show in front of a live audience...in Tokyo!
6 Episodes
Reverse
**reup due to no sound** Our steady decline (or incline?) into completely unplanned madness continues, this time with two wonderful guests; Jenny Zigrino & Jen Saunderson, best friends and hugely talented comics living in LA, and co-hosts of the IFC show The Filling Is Mutual. Local wizened owl Vinay Murthy once again joins host Alex Camp to chat to the Jens about garlic, cinema snacks, Sexx Magick, their podcast and of course the Tokyo experience at approximately 8 hours off the plane. As always we thank Ruby Room and the audience for helping us record this beauty, on November 22nd 2018.
We're back! After a long summer break with this episode recorded in late September.. The world's most casual podcast has returned! This time we've got Vinay Murthy, Ruben VM and surprise guest Kilara Sen (formerly Kaori) joining host Alex Camp to riff on Russia with not one but TWO Anastasias in the audience, national anthems, stage names, genitals and more.  Recorded at the world famous Ruby Room in Shibuya
Bryony No is here all the way from the UK! We talk Japanese micro-aggressions, heartbreak, gambarre, wrestling, mothers on bikes, stand-up comedy in Japan and of course Chicken Genocide. Audience member Yuki spends the whole time trying to leave while Aussies Gabs and Aleesha are too young to understand anything we're saying. Recorded live at Ruby Room, SHibuya on Thursday 26th July 2018
Alex Camp is joined by Christiane Brew, Elizabeth Hickey and Evans Musoka to natter about the Soccer Football Cup of the World. HEAR a record-breaking audience of SIX civilians and five other comedians try to fill Ruby Room with their thunderous laughter. LEARN about how the World Cup goes down in England, UHMURRICAH and Kenya. LAUGH at the pitch for Kenya to host the World Cup in 2028. SEE nothing, because it's an audio podcast. ENJOY! Back next month.
The SUT Sit-Down is back! Coming atcha direct from Ruby Room in the heart of Shibuya, Tokyo's love hotel district is another exciting episode about...the rainy season. Yeah it seems a bit boring, a bit dull, maybe even a bit DRY (how ironic) but Alex Camp, Jon Sabay, Hager and Kaori (no family names for the ladies) are going to wring whatever droplets of fun they can squeeze out of this pertinent topic. Seriously though, this was a fun episode of the podcast and shout-outs go to our audience, to Shanghai comedian Steven Skilling who performed before the recording and has a joke referenced, to Arman, to inappropriate Luke, to "Monica" (not her real name) who had a mysterious boat job and to all the staff at Ruby Room.  Recorded Thursday 24th May 2018
So, this is a little late coming due to some technical difficulties on our side but...welcome to the first (well, actually second cos the firsat one got lost) episode of the Stand Up Tokyo Sit-Down! Your host Alex Camp is joined by Maiya Kinoshita, Vinay Murthy and ItsKey Naka to discuss the finer points of the blooming hanami season; where the whole thing stems from, what Japan does when the sakura come out and how it all falls down at the end. Recorded at Ruby Room in Shibuya, Tokyo on April 4th 2018, this podcast probably contains rude language and at least one annoying Finnish guy who is difficult to hear at times. We hope you enjoy!
