I LOVE listening to J.R. when he's GeTTing to cuT Loose and be his gruF & sarcasTic seLf. He's very conscious oF when to be diplomatic and when it's time on camera to 'be more likeabLe & marketable' for his character's sake. BuT here on ThE SA Show being interviewed by his besT buddy, ROSS can't heLp but to reveal his inner sarcastic being w/greaT comedic timing as he tries to 'pop' AUSTIN. Lucky for ALL oF us listening, this conversation is like getting to be in a car ride heading to the nexT town learning from two veterans. AUSTIN & ROSS are arguabLy the Two BEST EVER In their chosen paths in the wrestling business: AUSTIN as the biggest box oFFice draw in wwf/e history as he led the mcmahon family to nasdaq and JIM ROSS may be the greatest story teller behind the microphone noT onLy in wrestling but in any competitive athletic presentation and quite frankly: the voice oF millions & millions oF fans' chiLdhood. ROSS hoLds noThing back when iT comes to discussing AEW, boTh thE strengths & weakness oF the upstart promoTion. Usually I find when AUSTIN/ROSS interview each other it's actually more oF a reminiscing session than a focused effort on a concentrated topic where the two break it down in detaiL. This episode however was a home run. It was the BEST episode that BOTH men have had on a podcasT w/each oTher. AUSTIN going on @6mo. hiatus OVBIOUSLY refreshed him, BC he was lazer sharp in keeping J.R. on topic and reaLLy has skiLL in keeping the interview subject flowing. MusT listen for those who want to understand the 'business' oF the Wrestling Business.

I have a question Austin's Disturbed theme song is that owned by WWE because technically it is Disturbed song let's just say Austin wanted to make an appearance somewhere else could he technically use that song?

Jeff Altman WeLL, iF you Listen closeLy.. The background oF that SCSA Theme from 2000 when he returned from spinal surgery is simpLy 'bLood from a stone' which is the Jim Johnston wwf theme firsT debuTed in 1996. Disturbed basicaLLy jusT laid down the verbaLs on the original SCSA Theme, making the 'new' track for his comeback. You can beT your a$$, that the song is OFFICIALLY Liscenced by wwe and with speciaL considerations the song probabLy couLd be pLayed/performed when BOTH parties agree on iT. So iF you were thinking🤔 " whaT iF STONECOLD wenT to AEW, COULD HE USE THAT 00' THEME??" 💀"OOHHH HHEELLLL NO! " is MORE Than Likely going to be the answer on that issue. The song is I.P. of wwe no doubt abouT iT. 🤔I SPECIFICALLY remember in 2004 AUSTIN and his attorneys tried for a VERY Long time to get VINCE McMAHON to let h use the name STONECOLD for outside oF wwe ProjecTs, and aT that time VKM wouldn't budge. It's whaT led SCSA to Leave the wwe I believe in 2004 ish after he had his VERY Entertaining run as co-gm oF RAW w/ERIC BISHOFF. FINALLY, In 2005 whiLe stiLL fighting for use oF the STONECOLD name, when AUSTIN was booked to puT OVR the COACH aT TABOO TUESDAY in his 'return maTch' for J.R.'s Job iT became clear that the company had officially become corporate wrestling and that creative decision by VINCE was the straw that broke the rattLe 🐍's back so to speak. If you notice, besides doing some wwe projects like TOUGH ENOUGH oR SA SHOW on WWE NETWORK ( just the sa show rehashed & arguabLy watered down, but taped visually for network subscribers ) AUSTIN never wouLd again be a recurring charecter on wwe television again, excepT foR occasionally doing an angLe. Like Special Referee for WM23, or a one nite GM roLe, appearing at WM's here and there, but ALWAYS taking in the wwe HOF and inducTing the greaT BRET HART and incomparable JIM ROSS. ( wow bro, you goT me way oFF track. it's ALL good, buT I guess my point was heLL no. VKM wouLd die first than let distrubed play the song for the biggest 🌟 in his company's history. LOL. )

Dixie Wolf well I assumed they would probably have to alter it a little bit and take the glass breaking out of it because that was part of his original WWE theme

He NEVER TALKS abouT the dark periods he had in relationships, in particular his domestic issues w/,DEBRA and some porn chick he was with.. Going all the way back to his 1sT wiFe JEANIE ( was lady blossom his manager ) old STONECOLD seemed to pick HORRIBLE Women to be with.. So i'LL take the schooL teachers over the gold digging workers who never supported out guy!!!
