Ransom: Season 1 - Position of Trust is a story of greed and betrayal and how one’s outward appearance can be dangerously deceiving. Go to ransompodcast.com or follow Ransom on your favorite podcast app. Twelve-year-old McKay Everett disappeared from his Texas home in September 1995. His father Carl returned from an Amway meeting to find the back door ajar and the telephone ringing. On the line, a woman with a raspy voice demanded $500,000. Over the next week, the FBI played a game of cat-and-mouse with the kidnappers, who used inside information to stay one step ahead of the investigation. Ultimately the FBI uncovered a series of crimes that started long before McKay was taken. Most shocking of all was the suspect. McKay had been betrayed by someone he trusted – a pillar of the community hiding a dark secret. But decades later, McKay’s mother, Paulette, still isn’t satisfied with the official story. She doesn’t think everyone involved has been brought to justice.
It's Part TWO with the hilarious Bill Burr. And guess what... Bill Burr flies helicopters. For real. And he's telling Steve all about it - why he wanted to, how he learned, where and when he practices, and if he's ever had any close calls! He's also giving an inside look at the writer's room of his Netflix show, "F Is For Family," what it's like working with Vince Vaughan (the producer backing the show), why he relates to crying babies on planes, when he stopped working clean, and if there's really such a thing as "extra bits" in stand-up.
Bill Burr is one of the funniest comics working today, but as you'll hear straight from his mouth, his was no overnight success! He talks about how he got his start, his early days doing open mics, the good and bad gigs, and his big break. He and Steve also discuss the parallels between the pro-wrestling and comedy biz - road travel, paying your dues, and working the crowd. And Bill is a huge wrestling fan (thanks to friend, the late, great Patrice O'Neal), and has a couple of his own Hulk Hogan stories to share.
Jim Cornette is back to share more stories from inside the squared circle... and OUT! He's got some great behind-the-scenes BS and of course, don't forget the ribs!
Midnight Express manager Jim Cornette joins Steve. Lightning strikes, diva fights, early Memphis wrestling, and a 2014 trip to the U.K.
Vince Russo returns to the Steve Austin Show! He gives a detailed, inside look at the Montreal Screw Job, what it was like working with Stone Cold and for good ole JR, and what he thinks about today's WWE product. Plus, hear Vince's very emotional recounting of the night Owen Hart died.
Vince Russo was the head writer for the WWF during the attitude era! What was Stone Cold like to work with? Vince answers. How'd he get along with Vince McMahon Jr? Vince answers. And yes, Vince Russo is the guy who put Austin 316 on the mic at Monday Night Raw... a night he remembers and shares in vivid detail.
The Tommy Dreamer is back! This time - why he left WWE, how he became "The Innovator of Violence," tag teaming with Terry Funk, drinking human blood, his feud with Dixie Carter, Sandman's OD, the House of Hardcore, and his one big regret.
Tommy Dreamer, the Innovator of Violence, talks about his favorite wrestler, Dusty Rhodes; his original name idea "Tommy Acid"; building his wrestling promotion House of Hardcore; his snoring buddy Bubba Ray Dudley of the Dudley Boyz; his original childhood dream; the tag team he turned down; and ECW & Violence!
Paige - SAS CLASSIC

Paige - SAS CLASSIC

2024-04-2559:49

Paige is no rookie to pro-wrestling! She's already 10 years in to a career that started as kid working for her dad's promotion in Europe! She's got some great stories about growing up in the biz, what she learned from both her parents, her WWE tryout, her days in NXT, and Dusty Rhodes!
Ever wonder who threw all those beers to Stone Cold Steve Austin in the ring? It was Mark Yeaton, former WWF/WWE timekeeper and referee! He's got the stories about near-misses, long throws, and how much beer they really went through each night! Mark also took part in 27 Wrestlemanias, was around for Hulkmania, had a front-row seat for Roddy Piper & Mr. T, and even drove the WWF ring truck (so he can tell you EXACTLY how those rings were made & what's changed since the 80s)!
It's a family reunion in Edna, TX as Steve sits down with brothers Kevin & Jeff to share some of their more colorful childhood stories! You'll also hear what it's like to be a working man doing shifts at McDonalds, the Coast Guard, and as a contractor. Find out who was a bull rider, who moved apartments with nothing but a shopping cart, and who's the most eloquent cusser!
Big Show is telling some tall tales on the Stone Cold podcast... about the Monday Night Wars, the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, Floyd Mayweather, meeting Hulk Hogan, leaving WCW, and his current run at WWE. He's also doing his best impersonations of Hulk Hogan and Dusty Rhodes, speaking candidly about his relationship with Vince McMahon, explaining why Triple H wants no association with or credit for Big Show's success in the squared circle, answering honestly about retirement, and doling out a little advice to all the aspiring pro-wrestlers out there.

Listening back to this in 2021, and am literally in tears. Lots of foreshadowing from Piper about where the "business" was headed back then. Look at what the WWE is now. Proof is in the pudding and Piper knew the recipe. RIP HotRod

Regal has a very soothing voice, he should consider recording childrens audiobooks, with that voice he'll put them to sleep in minutes.

That is some sweet guitar, for reals, theres an irish chorist named Aled Jones, combining his voice and Jeff's guitar they could make very good music. or jeff could make a remix with his guitar one of Aled's songs.

I get what Steve's saying, its not the same anymore, today i watched friday night smackdown, and seriously, wrestlers are not even trying, (the male wrestlers) they try too hard not to hit each other, now a kick to the jaw looks like a kick grazed near the ear.
