This week, we're talking all about architecture presentations. Presentations are a key part of the architecture education, and yet we aren't taught to give a good presentation. Many of us find the thought of presentation and public speaking a nightmare, but we are here to share with you our experiences, the good and the bad, and some tips and tricks that we have learnt throughout the years. Find out what was Sam's worst experience, when did Lam start note-taking, and Scarlet's lengthy experience in public speaking. Follow us @studioleavingpod

We are back with a new two-parter, Archi-pop! And this week we're talking about pop culture, specifically Architecture in pop culture! We know that architecture is everywhere, and it affects everything, from art to videos to games to movies. So in this episode, we're talking about all the architecture we notice in popular culture, like the set design, location selection, games settings and everything else in between. We might also have gotten waaaaaaay off topic a couple (read: multiple) times, such as our short clip here where we go off tangent again to talk about Harry Potter (Scarlet's favourite btw haha). What are some other architecture in pop culture that you noticed? What are some that you would like us to talk about? Let us know in the comments! Tune in next week to listen to Archi-pop part II, where we're going to go more in depth to discuss the impact of architecture in pop culture. What's more to talk about? Tune in next week to find out! Networking? Oof.   That word sends terror into many people, us included. It has taken us years to build up confidence in networking, and we are here to share, however little, experience we have on networking. What to do and what to say? We tell all the tiny, embarrassing step we took. Hear how Sam found his job, how introverted Lam came out of her shell, and how Scarlet got her dream job, all through networking. Last week, we talked about our expectations going into architecture school, and continuing our "Entering Archi" 2-part series, this week we're talking about our experience applying and entering architecture school. Join us as we take you along the application and our best advice to future students: be prepared ;) Follow us on Instagram and Facebook @studioleavingpod Show notes:  A visual guide to the architecture pathway: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1788927 Best place to look at portfolios: https://issuu.com/
We're back with Season 2! With ~ cwispy ~ sounds (yes, we do read the comments on our audio quality :| ) We're starting our new season with a 2-part series called "Entering Archi", talking everything about stepping foot into the architecture world. What were (or is) your expectation towards architecture? Growing up, we might have associated architecture as something being glamourous and awe-inspiring, but as we started our journey, is that still the case? Before starting architecture school, we were all young and naïve, and we had each gone into architecture for different reasons. Join us to find our how and why we got into architecture school, how a party changed Sam's life, how Lam nearly didn't do architecture, and how misogyny got Scarlet into architecture. Architecture education is like no other, and the pressure on students are no joke. Many of us have definitely felt burnout and stressed in the studio and have felt pressured to perform among our peers. Because of that our mental health has taken a hit and if left unchecked, it could lead to more severe mental health problems. This week for our final episode of season 1, we're taking a look and discussing on our own mental health in the studio, our challenges and our struggles, and how have we dealt with our own mental health. This week, we're diving into something more architectural, as we talk about green architecture from the architecture perspective, is it really what it claims to be and what can we do on our parts.
