I Need a Break!!

You know when people warn you about burning the candle at both ends? Well, lately, I feel like I’ve been burning a square corner with four ends! I have been trying to launch a training business for small and micro business, with a website and sales funnel, while creating templates and other documentation I’ll be selling. Then I am working on the podcast with its own site and several courses that I want to make available for listeners. Oh, and the training business and podcast will have their own YouTube channels that I need to record videos for and launch. And, I can’t forget that I have a full-time job and we are ramping up for a big project that starts next week. And, I’m getting married next month!Suffice to say, I’m exhausted. I need to focus because right now I’m spread too thin. So, I will be taking a break to focus on my wedding and my training business. I will have a new episode on October 12th and every Thursday from then on. Let’s not say goodbye, it’s so long for now.The Success Snap because success is more than money

Actors are used to rejection. It really is par for the course. Laura Banks’ story starts the way many Hollywood stories start. She moved from Kansas to Los Angeles with a little money in her pockets and a big dream in her heart. She found her first big break (and romance) in Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan (when thinking romance think Captain Kirk … William Shatner!). She moved on to be the author of several popular books: Embracing Your Big Fat Ass: An Owner's Manual and The Wrath of Blonde: (The Making of Star Trek II, and Other Wild Hollywood Adventures as an Amazon in Outerspace)BooksEmbracing Your Big Fat Ass: An Owner's Manual The Wrath of Blonde: (The Making of Star Trek II, and Other Wild Hollywood Adventures as an Amazon in Outerspace)Website:  www.laurabanks.com SUBSCRIBE to The Success Snap and be notified weekly of new episodes!Join The Success Snap Nation for motivation, support and provocative conversationsThe Success Snap because success is more than money

Success Takes a Hike!

By the traditional definition, Jeff Rasley was a success. He was a partner in a successful law firm. He had  the profession, the house and the money that many associate with success. Yet, he reached a point where he just wasn’t happy. Remembering his love of adventure travel, his wife told him (encouraged him)  to take a hike! … trekking through the Himalayas. He took her up on her game changing challenge and it definitely changed the game. Trekking (like hiking) turned to climbing and a love of the Nepalese people. Now, he has sold portion of his law practice, written 11 books and founder and board member of the Basa Village Foundation USA. And, he’s happy again. Success in Every Life

People are a lot like cats in the sense that we often live more than one life. Mary K. Savarese has lived at least three lives. She started out in accounting/finance (Life #1). She became a mom and raised her kids (Life #2). Now, she is a successful author (Life #3). She has two books under her belt so far. Her debut was a murder mystery, Tigers Love Bubble Baths & Obsession Perfume (who knew!).  Her latest novel is the first in a trilogy, The Girl in the Toile Wallpaper (and it is Toile, not toilet).Being a traditionally published author did not happen overnight. It was 10 years in the making. We talk about how even overnight successes aren’t really overnight. Overcoming rejection and perseverance is critical. Even when you think you have arrived, you still have to persevere.BooksTigers Love Bubble Baths & Obsession Perfume (who knew!)The Girl in the Toile WallpaperEpisode sponsored by Jebo Community FoundationSUBSCRIBE to be entered into a drawing to win an Amazon gift card. The Success Snap because success is more than money

2023 ~ The Worst of Times and the Best of Times

We aren't even half way through the year and I've already seen very low times and some things are pretty good times too. Down times have a way of teaching you some valuable lessons - lessons you never learn when things are going well. Success is wonderful but failure is a a harsh and unrelenting teacher. I have tried really hard to learn the lessons this time in the valley had to teach so I won't be repeating those lessons the next time I visit the valley. In this episode I talk about the lows and highs of 2023 (and we aren't even halfway through the year) and a very important lesson I learned that I don't plan on forgetting. The Success Snap because success is more than money
