What does God say about Fear?

In the final message of our “What Does God Say About?” series, Pastor Darnell tackles the topic of fear with bold clarity and biblical insight. Is worry just a sign that we care deeply—or is it something more destructive? Pastor Darnell draws a powerful distinction between the God-given biological fear rooted in the amygdala, which helps us stay safe, and the paralyzing “spirit of fear,” a demonic influence meant to hold us back.Through a vivid childhood story, she illustrates the difference between healthy caution and spiritual oppression. You’ll learn how worry is essentially “casting vision for the worst,” and how God’s encouragement to Joshua—when stepping into Moses’ shoes—offers a blueprint for overcoming fear of inadequacy and abandonment. This episode includes practical homework: flip your “what-ifs” into faith-filled expectations. It’s a call to shift your mindset, reclaim peace, and walk in freedom.

What does God say about Entertainment?

We're diving into the tough questions in our series! After talking about hypocrisy and judging others, we’re looking at what does God say about entertainment?. You might not realize it, but the things that hold your attention can truly influence you. Today's culture is built on entertainment, and Hollywood has often gone from just entertaining to outright indoctrination—they want you to think, act, and believe a certain way. If we’re not careful, we’ll let culture disciple us instead of Christ. We break down how everything in our life affects us, whether positively or negatively, because we live in a world with two kingdoms: darkness and light. We need to guard our "gates"—our eye gate and ear gate. The psalmist David knew this centuries ago when he made a covenant to "refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar," understanding that whatever takes his attention eventually takes his heart. We discuss the power of influence—bad company corrupts good character. We also look at how to protect yourself: sometimes, you have to "ricochet" your eyes away from tempting images. Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:23 that we have the right to do anything, but not everything is beneficial or constructive. If sin starts looking normal and holiness looks radical, your gates have been open too long. This message isn't meant to condemn, but to encourage you to clean house and fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, and pure. Men, we especially look at your role as the gatekeeper of your home. Remember: what you protect today will shape who you become tomorrow!

What does God say about Judging?

Get ready for some essential truth bombs as Pastor Carl Catalanotto continues our series, "What does God say about_____?". The message today is titled "What does God say about Judging?". Pastor Carl dives deep into the fact that judgment is coming to every one of us and explains why the cross of Calvary is the ultimate dividing line for judgment and eternity. Jesus warns us, "Judge not and you shall not be judged. Condemn not and you will not be condemned". Learn the crucial difference between hypocritical judgment (criticizing others while ignoring your own faults, like a plank in your eye) and spirit-led discernment (distinguishing right/wrong without condemning the person). We are allowed to judge those inside the church to protect it from sin and false teaching, but this must be done humbly, fairly, and gently, focused purely on restoration, not destruction!

What does God say about Hypocrisy?

We are beginning a new series titled "What does God say about ____?". Pastor Carl kicks off this new four-part series by diving deep into the biblical definition of hypocrisy—which literally means "play-acting" or "dissembling". Carl discusses why "talking the talk but not walking the walk" is so dangerous, using powerful biblical examples like the two-faced behavior of the Apostle Peter and the intense, severe consequences faced by Annanias and Sapphira for lying to the Holy Spirit about money. Pastor Carl outlines the common causes of hypocrisy, such as desiring human approval, pride and self-righteousness, fear of people (peer pressure), focusing on religion instead of a true life with Christ, and the lack of true inner transformation. Learn the practical solutions for overcoming this struggle: regular self-examination, choosing humility over pride (since spiritual pride is hypocrisy), consistency in both public and private life, and staying full of God's Holy Spirit to ensure you don't settle for a form of religion while denying its power.

That's My People: That His House May Be Filled

Join Pastor Cliff Lodriguss (The Tabernacle's youth pastor for the St. Bernard campus) as he shares a powerful message titled "That His House May Be Filled".In this message, Cliff dives deep into the Parable of the Great Feast from Luke 14:15-24, focusing on the urgency of evangelism—telling people about Jesus.Cliff gets real about how easy it is to miss the invitation when life is "good". He explores the three excuses made in the parable—new land, new oxen, and new marriage—showing us that even lawful concerns or good opportunities can keep us from the Kingdom if they are loved more than God. Whether it’s business, distractions, or even allowing family to become an idol, we have to be careful not to fall into that trap.Pastor Cliff challenges us to put Jesus first, reminding us that when the King calls, we need to answer. Since the first invitees made excuses, the Master ordered the servant to go out into the streets, alleys, and country lanes to invite the poor, crippled, blind, and broken—everyone they could find—so that the house would be full. The goal is clear: God wants His house full. Cliff urges believers to stop making excuses and to start intentionally sharing the Gospel, encouraging us to make Jesus our personality. There is still room at the banquet!Discover why you will never regret telling God yes.
