Today's Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Bishop Strickland joins Terry Gospel - Luke 11:37-41 - After Jesus had spoken, a Pharisee invited Him to dine at his home. He entered and reclined at table to eat. The Pharisee was amazed to see that He did not observe the prescribed washing before the meal. The Lord said to him, "Oh you Pharisees! Although you cleanse the outside of the cup and the dish, inside you are filled with plunder and evil. You fools! Did not the maker of the outside also make the inside? But as to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you." Memorial of Saint Callistus, Pope and Martyr Saint Callistus, pray for us!
Today's Topics: Father Chad Ripperger joins Terry 1) Gospel - Luke 11:29-32 - While still more people gathered in the crowd, Jesus said to them, "This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah. Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. At the judgment the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation and she will condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and there is something greater than Solomon here. At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because at the preaching of Jonah they repented, and there is something greater than Jonah here." 2, 3 4) Terry and Father Ripperger discuss the effects of "witches' spells" and God's permissive will, modernism in the Church, the importance in studying Thomas Aquinas, and knowing and practicing one's Catholic Faith
Today's Topics: Joshua Charles joins Terry for Friday with the Fathers 1) Gospel - Luke 11:15-26 - When Jesus had driven out a demon, some of the crowd said: “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, He drives out demons.” Others, to test Him, asked Him for a sign from heaven. But He knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste and house will fall against house. And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons. If I, then, drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your own people drive them out? Therefore they will be your judges. But if it is by the Finger of God that I drive out demons, then the Kingdom of God has come upon you. When a strong man fully armed guards his palace, his possessions are safe. But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him, he takes away the armor on which he relied and distributes the spoils. Whoever is not with Me is against Me, and whoever does not gather with Me scatters. “When an unclean spirit goes out of someone, it roams through arid regions searching for rest but, finding none, it says, ‘I shall return to my home from which I came.’ But upon returning, it finds it swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and brings back seven other spirits more wicked than itself who move in and dwell there, and the last condition of that man is worse than the first.” 2, 3, 4) Terry and Joshua discuss Early Father of the Church: Saint Augustine
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Luke 11:5-13 - Jesus said to his disciples: "Suppose one of you has a friend to whom he goes at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, for a friend of mine has arrived at my house from a journey and I have nothing to offer him,' and he says in reply from within, 'Do not bother me; the door has already been locked and my children and I are already in bed. I cannot get up to give you anything.' I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves because of their friendship, he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of his persistence. "And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?" Give us each day our daily bread and forgive us our sins for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us, and do not subject us to the final test." Bishop Sheen quote of the day

She had a sister named Mary who sat beside the Lord at His Feet listening to Him speak. Martha, burdened with much serving, came to Him and said, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving? Tell her to help me." The Lord said to her in reply, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her." Jesus said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read it?" He said in reply, "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself." He replied to him, "You have answered correctly; do this and you will live." But because he wished to justify himself, he said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" Jesus replied, "A man fell victim to robbers as he went down from Jerusalem to Jericho. They stripped and beat him and went off leaving him half-dead. A priest happened to be going down that road, but when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side. Likewise a Levite came to the place, and when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side. But a Samaritan traveler who came upon him was moved with compassion at the sight. He approached the victim, poured oil and wine over his wounds and bandaged them. Then he lifted him up on his own animal, took him to an inn, and cared for him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper with the instruction, 'Take care of him. If you spend more than what I have given you, I shall repay you on my way back.' Which of these three, in your opinion, was neighbor to the robbers' victim?" He answered, "The one who treated him with mercy." Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise." Today's Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Joshua Charles joins Terry for Friday with the Fathers: Saint Irenaeus Gospel - Luke 10:13-16 - Jesus said to them, "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. And as for you, Capernaum, 'Will you be exalted to heaven? You will go down to the netherworld.' Whoever listens to you listens to Me. Whoever rejects you rejects Me. And whoever rejects Me rejects the One Who sent Me." Bishop Sheen quote of the day

He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said, "Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives one child such as this in My Name receives Me. "See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of My heavenly Father." Today's Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Father Charles Murr joins Terry Gospel - Luke 9:57-62 - As Jesus and His disciples were proceeding on their journey, someone said to Him, "I will follow You wherever You go." Jesus answered him, "Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to rest His Head." And to another He said, "Follow Me." But he replied, "Lord, let me go first and bury my father." But He answered him, "Let the dead bury their dead. But you, go and proclaim the Kingdom of God." And another said, "I will follow You, Lord, but first let me say farewell to my family at home." Jesus answered him, "No one who sets a hand to the plow and looks to what was left behind is fit for the Kingdom of God." Nathanael answered Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel." Jesus answered and said to him, "Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this." And He said to him, "Amen, amen, I say to you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man." To anyone who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he seems to have will be taken away." Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Luke 7:36-50 - A certain Pharisee invited Jesus to dine with him, and He entered the Pharisee's house and reclined at table. Now there was a sinful woman in the city who learned that He was at table in the house of the Pharisee. Bringing an alabaster flask of ointment, she stood behind Him at his feet weeping and began to bathe His Feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them, and anointed them with the ointment. When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this he said to himself, "If this Man were a prophet, He would know who and what sort of woman this is who is touching Him, that she is a sinner." Jesus said to him in reply, "Simon, I have something to say to you." "Tell me, Teacher," he said. "Two people were in debt to a certain creditor; one owed five hundred days' wages and the other owed fifty. Since they were unable to repay the debt, he forgave it for both. Which of them will love him more?" Simon said in reply, "The one, I suppose, whose larger debt was forgiven." He said to him, "You have judged rightly." Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? When I entered your house, you did not give Me water for My Feet, but she has bathed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give Me a kiss, but she has not ceased kissing My Feet since the time I entered. You did not anoint My Head with oil, but she anointed My Feet with ointment. So I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven; hence, she has shown great love. But the one to whom little is forgiven, loves little." He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven." The others at table said to themselves, "Who is this Who even forgives sins?" But He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace." For John the Baptist came neither eating food nor drinking wine, and you said, 'He is possessed by a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking and you said, 'Look, He is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is vindicated by all her children." A year, post-infection for me. I had my antibodies tested Sept. 2021...>20(whatever that means) and in January 2022... 14.6 ( where no reactivity <0.9). Therefore, I am confident my immune system is still at work keeping me safe from further COVID infection.

Did you even try to debunk the post about COVID you quoted (or at least the link)? I had the Corona virus. There have been Corona viruses around a long time... usually linked to "the common cold". I have been donating convalescent COVID plasma, which has been tested at a laboratory. I have high levels of the antibodies. Basically, the virus is real, but the morbidity is hyped and so is the fear-mongering.

I worry that the LORD be displeased by the emptiness of His Churches during the Holy Sacrifice. I have attempted to watch streams but I know this is not the same. Why can't Archdioceses set up drive up Masses? I agree about your sentiments about receipt of the Holy Sacrament. I hold myself back from reception when I am aware of grave matter, I have failed at the fast or what have you. But I can't help but think our Blessed LORD is displeased by our lack of bodily presence. I live down the street from a heretic "church" and there were plenty of people there last Sunday...
