A Biblical Perspective on Confidence1. Master Yourself → Renew Your MindRobert talks about mastering fears and insecurities. The Bible says true mastery begins with the renewal of the mind:“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind…” (Romans 12:2).Instead of self-control through willpower alone, we find it by letting the Spirit guide our thoughts and emotions (Galatians 5:22-23). Biblical confidence is rooted not in self, but in God’s Spirit within us.Greene emphasizes reading people well. Scripture agrees—but frames it as wisdom and love:“The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.” (Proverbs 20:5).True insight comes from compassion and discernment, not manipulation. Confidence grows when we choose to serve others rather than impress them (Mark 10:45).Greene says confidence comes through repeated action. The Bible calls this walking by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).Confidence is not the absence of fear, but taking steps forward because we trust God’s promises:“Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God goes with you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6).Greene highlights trial-and-error.
