Spent more time waxing poetic than getting into the details. Waste.
love this...very clever just like living in ... A parallel universe, that's appropriate for 2020, it's been different but the same. hope your well Tom 👍
absolutely one of the worst stories that he had regarding the background behind the episode 22.
almost like being there 👍😊
Great episode Tom, so good to hear the insights and opinions of the TZ gurus 👍
Hi Tom, really enjoyed this episode, a couple of months ago myself and juliet had a little weekend film fest where we watched the dummy, caesar and me and the film magic with Anthony Hopkins, theres something very creepy about the relationship between the ventriloquist and the doll in all of these shows and the subject is perfect for the twilight zone as it's always ambiguous and leaves the reality of what's happening firmly in the viewers own mind as to what's real and what's imagined. One of my own personal favourite movies is Dead of night which I own on an old VHS tape, i first saw it as a child and it really stuck with me, the movie as you know has a dummy segment which is quite disturbing along with a few more mini stories which are all precursors to shows like the twilight zone. It would be great to see willie come back to life in Jordan peeles TZ universe, a modern take on how we allow inanimate objects to take us over and control our lives, maybe these days willie is using soc
Did you not immediately get a Bundy vibe from Derrick?
The Globetrotters' guy was Abe Saperstein, not Superstein.
People who say things like "shoot" or "darn" or "fudge" and then yell at others about so-called unnecessary cursing are full of garbage. Heck is the same as hell. You're not fooling anyone. We know what you really mean with these uncreative stand-ins. Moreover, you are still cursing -- don't kid yourself. When you spill your drink and you utter "POOP!" you are expressing dismay or outrage, which (hellooooo!) means you are cursing!
this is a great one,he made it!
This was cool!
I love this show,do you know if it's the same place they filmed back to the future? the town looks the same.
I like your show. I wish CBS would put on regular TV so I could watch it. I can not afford to pay for my shows my on disability.
not only is this about one of my favorite episodes of the Twilight Zone, it's also easily one of the best episodes of the Twilight Zone Podcast. Tom taking the time to discuss the modern rat race and the dehumanization it implies is fantastic.
a very well done podcast for fans of the twilight zone. good synopses, great use of music from the series, along with sample audio. love the perspective from another fan, including opinions about episode quality as well as well researched and sources behind the scenes information. looking forward to listening through this series of podcasts
A pretty good podcast made by a true fan.
this podcast is terrible.
Looks like a lot of people in the comments don't get the point of the show. Most episodes are an analysis of TZ... I enjoy hearing about the behind the scenes stuff. Too bad that you don't. I like the show. If I wanted to watch TZ I'd turn on Netflix
Just a comment about Ken Lavine from the discussion at the end about the reboot. Go play the Bioshock games and you will see that he is exactly the sort of person who would do the TZ justice, even if it is a side project. Those games are brilliant and like you say, have one foot in the past and one in the future. Enjoyed this episode, thanks!
this is bad, here I'm thinking I'm going listen to a twilight episode, I feel I'm in a twilight episode, what is he doing?
