Hello glorious listeners, please forgive us for that title! We promise it will make sense later (sort of). Taylor and Emily are back and this time we're joined by a special guest: the oft-mentioned but elusive Jake (Taylor's husband)! Emily saved a special story for him--a frustrating tale of what happens when radioactive material is introduced into a town in Brazil where nobody knows the danger it poses. And Taylor brings us the tale of a man named Michel Lotito, whose knew the dangers of his very strange diet, and kept on eating bicycles anyway. Grab a Smirnoff Ice or something else that reminds you of college, and sit down with us!
We're back and we've got our occasional co-host Kat with us! The three of us embark first on a journey to the ocean, where Emily tells us the uncomfortable tale of Chris Lemons and his two companions trying to survive a deep sea excursion after disaster strikes, and then Taylor tells the infuriating story of the Paradise Fire of 2018, and a heroic nurse who survived it. Grab your coolest bottle of red wine and join us!
We've missed you so, listeners! We're back with another podcast and we'd love for you to join us on this journey. Emily starts us off with talk of cryptids and a man named Roy who narrowly escapes his encounter with a Louisiana werewolf. Then, Taylor takes us down low with the story of photographer Robbie Shone, who survives a terrifying encounter in the deepest cave in the world. Grab a drink that reminds you of Thanksgiving (trust us) and join us!
HALLO THERE! We're back and we're talking more crazy survival stories, as is our wont. Taylor tells the story of Beck Weathers, one of the survivors of the 1996 Mt. Everest Disaster that claimed the lives of 15 people. Emily slings martinis and brings us the tale of Kennedy, an Idaho teen who survived a horrific car crash and harrowing rescue in 2021.
Grab a gin-based drink and join us! You're gonna need it.
It's that time of year again, listeners! We're joined by our favorite guest, Kat, and we're ready to get spooky. Emily is talking the problematic legacy of Ed and Lorraine Warren and that time a guy tried to get out of a murder charge by claiming "not guilty by reason of demonic possession." Then, Taylor regales us with the eerily real haunting of The House on Beryl Rd. Grab your nearest creepy cocktail, and sit down with us!
This episode is brought to you by entropy.  Hey there! We lost the first half of this episode immediately after recording it for reasons we may never truly understand. But we salvaged it in the best way we could, and we still managed to have fun along the way. Taylor "begins" the ep by telling the story of Katie Starks, a possible survivor of the dreaded Texarkana Phantom Killer. Then, Emily gives a fast-paced version of her lost story about Adolfe Sax, inventor of the saxophone, that is fueled entirely by alcohol and rage. Grab a drink, and toast to losing audio and letting chaos reign.
HELLO! We're here, and we're ready to chat! Taylor starts us off with the story of Ada Blackjack, a woman who survived two years on an arctic island, and Emily surprises us with what we're calling The Halifax Explosion 2: The Squeaquel. Grab a home-made jell-o shot, or something equally dangerous, and join us!
HEY HEY HEY! We've compiled enough recordings of us screaming about various things to put together our first best of ep! With some life complications, this was the perfect time to do it and make sure we weren't dipping out on y'all for a couple weeks. Sorry this is late in going out, but please enjoy!

Time stamps:
00:01:00 - José Salvador Alvarenga
00:26:00 - Are Tornadlios sentient, Matt Suter survival story
00:50:00 - Galveston Hurricane, but did the cow survive?
1:20:00 - Roy Sullivan, Can of Water
Hello all! We're back again with another episode, and we truly did try to keep it light this time! In our defense, these stories are much lighter than our normal ones...and that's really all you can expect from us. Emily tells the story of Frane Selak, the luckiest unlucky man on earth, and Taylor tells the tale of Michael Malloy, a man who didn't survive so much as he just wouldn't die. Grab an absurd amount of booze and join us!
*Apologies for the very slight echo you might hear at certain points, we've done our best to minimize it.*
HALLO! We're here! It's ep 105, and Taylor's kicking it off with the tale of the Halifax Explosion, a Canadian national tragedy and a truly crazy story. Emily somehow gets the clap over the harp noise, but stays strong with the story of brothers Lucas and Christopher Leonard, who suffered abuse at the hands of the Word of Life Christian Church.
You thought we dipped, didn't you? But we're back! We, like many of you, have abortion rights on the brain, so we tell a couple stories adjacent to that. Emily starts us off with a history of Eugenics in America, and the story Minnie and Mary, two black girls who brought the horrors of forced sterilization to light. Then, Taylor tells the story of Dr. Garson Romalis, an abortion provider who was shot in his own home.  Grab a fish-bowl sized drink and join us. #youonlyyearonce
Taylor and Emily are back and they should have eaten before recording this one, they'll be honest. First, Taylor finally goes *there* and tells the story of a 9/11 survivor, with a big twist. Then, Emily reminds us that our prison system is a joke with the story of the New Mexico State Penitentiary Riot of 1980. Grab a drink and join us!
Hello again! We've got gentle drinks, and rough stories on this one, folks. Emily starts us off with the story of Kevin Ramsby, who was stabbed in his own home and lived to forgive his attacker. Taylor then brings us some early Uh-Oh vibes with a few survivors of the serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, also known as the Yorkshire Ripper.
Hello, listeners! We're officially back up and running, and so we're so glad to be here! We kick off this next 100 episodes with a random drink generator, and immediate regret. Taylor then tells us the story of the Banqiao Dam failure of 1975. Then Emily takes it home with the story of when two intrepid women met a crocodile, and only one made it out alive.
In case you can't tell from all the screaming, this is our 100th episode of Uh-Oh! We have our occasional co-host, Kat, along for the ride, as we give each other presents, and gag on some truly terrible alcohol. We do manage to get to a couple of EPIC stories as well. Emily tells the story of Rodney King, whose encounter with police set off a 3-day riot in LA. Then Kat gives us a quick palette cleanser of a story, before Taylor launches into the tale of the Chowchilla kidnapping and their favorite survivor to-date. Enjoy! And thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. 100, baby!
Don't worry, no one's on drugs or getting locked in a fridge. We have a special guest, and she is here to tell her story in her own words! That's right, Emily and I are not trading stories for this one. Instead, we are joined by Susan, a woman who has a harrowing tale to tell, and was kind enough to come on this podcast to do it. We were so honored to have her, and we're very excited for you to hear her story.
We hope everyone has been having a happy and safe holiday season. The next time you see us will be for our 100th Episode Celebration! Much love!
Happy holidays and a good Monday to you, listeners! Emily closes out her three-part series with story of the Kent State Massacre, the victims, and the 9 students who were shot, but survived. Then Taylor makes Emily scream by finally bringing in the tale of Harrison Okene, a tugboat cook who spent three days trapped in a sunken ship. Yeah, you read that right.
Emily's story begins: 4:20
Taylor's story begins: 45:45
Hello! You join us on part 2 of Emily's 3-part Survivor series. If you haven't listened to episode 96, it might give you some context to go do that first.
But! Before we get to that, Taylor keeps it light with the story of Casey Hathaway, a young boy who gets lost in the woods and found under strange (and some say suspicious) circumstances.
Then Emily hits us right in the feels with the story of 3 incredible survivors of the Cambodian genocide.
We hope you find this episode, very a-peel-ing! That joke only works if you've already listened. Anyway-- Emily is starts us off with the first installment of a THREE-PARTER! That's right, we've got a little cause-and-effect coming your way. Get excited, but not too excited because it does all kick off with America bombing the hell out of Cambodia. Which, to be clear, sucks.
Then, Taylor brings you the story of Margaret Gwyer, who has been added to the list of her favorite "people who survive sinking ships in the lease likely way possible."

Audio issue at 57 minutes has been fixed.
Happy Halloween, listeners! Emily and Taylor are joined by their friend Michelle, who has graciously allowed them to record in her attic, which she's pretty sure is haunted. Taylor tells the story of Brian Massey, the lone survivor of his own stepfather's Halloween rampage. Then, Emily takes us right up to the edge with the tale of Theodor Edward Coneys, the Spider Man of Denver.
