U/O 120: Super Bowl Recap/Year End

They did it!  In a wild, incredibly entertaining series of back and forth action, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots to win their first ever Super Bowl!  This may go down as one of the best Super Bowls ever, thanks to one of the most gutsy calls on fourth down we've ever seen.  Despite Chris Collinsworth's horrific announcing and an obivous concussion suffered by Brandin Cooks that they refused to acknowledge , this was one of the best games the NFL has ever broadcast.     Check out our review of the game, what the future holds for both teams moving forward, how much Chris Collinsworth sucked, and some well deserved (for once) praise for the refs.     As always, thank you so much for listening to the show.  This year was the most fun we've ever had doing it, and it's bittersweet that yet another season of it is ending.  We hope everyone had as much fun as we did, and we can't wait to get back at it again next season.  Enjoy the offseason everyone, and we'll see you next year!

U/O 119: 2018 Super Bowl Special

The New England Patriots take on the Philadelphia Eagles in bird murder stadium for the Lombardi trophy.  No matter the outcome, we all lose.  Tom Brady looks to break the triple curse of being the league MVP, being on the cover of Madden, and being the league passing leader.  The only person to ever win a super bowl with any of those was Kurt Warner in 1999.     Eat some dope food, hang out with good people, and hopefully nothing like last year happens and we all won't be miserable when the game is over.     Enjoy the game everyone!

U/O 118: We Truly Are In The Darkest Timeline

Ugh.  In case you needed further proof we are currently living in Hell World, the Pats come from behind to beat the Jags and advance to yet another Super Bowl apprearance, while the Eagles coast to victory over the Vikings, who now get to watch them play for the championship in their stadium at home.  Two of the most insufferable teams and fan bases remain to challenge for the title of who is now the most hated.   IN OTHER NEWS, we talk about the Jags' future, as well as some coaching moves and other potential off-season happenings.  Oh, and the Pro Bowl is this Sunday, if anyone cares.     Enjoy the week of misery, and get ready for our Super Bowl preview next week!

U/O 117: Destiny Cannot Be Stopped

The divisional round is over, and boy was it wild.  Taking the Titans v Patriots out of the mix, every other game was about as close as they could possibly be, punctuated with one of the best games in NFL history, especially given the context.     The Eagles prove that even without MVP candidate Carson Wentz at QB, they are still a force to be reckoned with, as they take care of business at home against the Falcons and win the battle of the birds.  The Patriots oblierate the Titans, who are mercifully eliminated from a postseason they should have never been a part of to begin with.  New England will host next week with a chance to advance to yet another Super Bowl.  The Jags shock the world, manhandling the Steelers in Pittsburgh, and holding on to advance to the AFC Championship.  The Vikings do the same, with a miraculous connection from Case Keenum to Stefon Diggs with no time remaining on the clock to win the game and beat the Saints at home.  They will travel to Philly, and with a win, would play for their first ever Super Bowl title in their own stadium.     Enjoy the Conference Championships everyone!

U/O 116: Wild Card Weekend - The Ballad of Alex Smith

In what was probably Alex Smith's last game as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, they blow yet another large lead at halftime to the Titans and take another disappointing exit from the playoffs.  The Titans will go on to get destroyed by the Patriots because we can't have nice things, and the Jags are the only thing stopping yet another Patriots v Steelers match up for the AFC Championship.       The Vikings and Eagles look to further assert their dominance in the NFC, hosting the Saints and Falcons, respectively.  It's possible for Minnesota to play all home games all the way through the Super Bowl, which would be pretty awesome.   Enjoy the divisional round everyone, and we'll see you for the Conference Championships!

U/O 115: The Cleveland Browns Make History

Welp, the Browns went 0-16 for the first time since the 2008 Detroit Lions.  Also, the Bills made the playoffs for the first time since 1999!  Fitting end to quite a weird year this year in the NFL.     Wild Card Weekend kicks off Saturday with two games (one afternoon and one primetime), with the Chiefs and Rams hosting, respectively.  Sunday features the Jags and Saints trying to capitalize on home field to advance to the divisional round.     Black Monday was eventful as usual, with a lot of head coaching/personnel changes taking place.  Here is a link to with a list of all of them, plus the latest news on who teams will look to target to fill the vacancies left behind.     Enjoy the first round of the playoffs everybody!

U/O 114: The Browns Are One Week Away from History

Ladies and gentlemen, there is one week left of regular season football.  One last week stands between us and playoff football - and the Browns being 0-16.  We're counting on you, Steelers.     In what turns out to be the perfect storm, Pittsburgh actually needs a win to have a shot at home field throughough the postseason, so the Browns are up against quite the challenge if they want to avoid a winless season.   The 49ers seem to have found their future in Jimmy G, and the Jaguars could potentially revert to peak Jaguars at the worst possible time.  We shall see how the picture shakes out; all the games are on Sunday, with none in primetime.     Enjoy the games everyone, and have a safe and happy New Year's!

U/O 113: The Catch Rule Rears Its Ugly Head

The Steelers got shafted by what has now become the most controversial rule in the league - "the catch" rule.  Unfortunately for Pittsburgh, the rule was enforced correctly, it's just stupid and needs to be changed.   The playoff race really starts to heat up in the NFC, where three of the potential playoffs team are in the same division, and two of them play each other this week.       Enjoy the games everyone, and get ready for a crazy end to the regular season.

U/O 112: The Return of A-Aron

The playoff race is really starting to heat up.  The NFC is hotly contested, with both the South and West coming down to the wire; three teams from the South may all make it to the post season.  In the AFC, the Steelers and Patriots battle for supremacy, while the wild card race is full of barely above mediocre teams jostling for position.   Regardless of how you look at it, this is the best part of the regular season.  Lots of meaningful games, and teams that are starting to get hot become the most dangerous going into the playoffs.     Enjoy four days worth of football this week, everybody!

U/O 110: "The Streak" Has Come to an End

The Giants season has officially ended, as Eli Manning has been benched in favor of Geno Smith/David Webb.  Ben McAdoo will most likely be fired once the season has finished.  Giants fans see the benching of Eli as a slap in the face, but you have to keep in mind that this is the right strategy once it's clear your season is over and you need to find a suitable replacement for the franchise QB once his time is up. His games started streak will come to an end 87 games shy of Brett Favre's, but also one that will be probably never be matched.   In other news, the Chiefs continue to flail while the Eagles reassert their dominance on the rest of the league.  There are a select few games this week with playoff positioning on the line, and the wild card picture is starting to heat up in both conferences.       Enjoy the games everyone!

U/O 109: Has Roger Goodell Made Football Great Again?

Going into week 12, the Eagles, Patriots, Vikings and Saints are all sitting on 6+ game winning streaks, and are all at the top of their respective divisions.  Conference championship preview, perhaps?  Time will tell.   The playoff race is starting to heat up, and somehow the Cleveland Browns have not been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention yet - go figure.  That term can pretty much sum up the year so far, so many surprises and curious results have led to a year where some of the powerhouse teams couldn't have possibly been predicted.  We love it though.     Please have a safe and gluttonous Thanksgiving and we'll see everyone next week!

U/O 108: Who The Hell is Nathan Peterman?

The Bills have benched Tyrod Taylor for some guy they drafted in the fifth round this year; don't worry, you're as confused as we are.  Even more odd considering they're still in the middle of the playoff race (for now at least).      The best game of the week is a matchup of two 7-2 teams; the Vikings take on the Rams.  Who would have ever guessed this would be happpening this year?  Chaos reigns.      Also thanks everybody for putting up with me doing the episode by myself.  We'll be back at full strength next week.     Enjoy the games everybody!

U/O 107: When Do You Throw In the Towel?

The Colts have probably borked Andrew Luck's career.  Let's let that sink in for a second.  After having arguably the greatest quarterback to ever play the game be replaced with a once in a generation talent most likely capable of repeating such a feat, the Colts have squandered that due to a mismanaged shoulder injury from 2015.  Way to go, guys.   Also, Josh Gordon is back!     Enjoy the games everyone!

U/O 106: Death By 1,000 Field Goals

Josh Gordon is back! Kind of!  Ezekiel Elliot is suspended again!  Kind of!  Brock Osweiler might be the starting quarterback for the Broncos.  Time is a flat circle.   In other news, Jay Ajayi is now a member of the Eagles, Kelvin Benjamin has joined the Buffalo Bills, and Texans lineman Duane Brown changes places with Seahawks corner Jeremy Lane.  The Patriots let Jimmy Garappolo go for some picks to San Francisco and signed veteran Brian Hoyer to back up Tom Brady.   Meanwhile, the Chiefs beat the Broncos by relentlessly kicking field goals and that's pretty awesome.   We have everyone had a super spooky halloween and we'll see you next week.   Enjoy the games everyone!

U/O 105: Is Carson Wentz Our Next MVP?

Carson Wentz is making a serious case for a MVP, showing great improvement after last season, with a league leading 17 TDs and 4 INTs.  The Eagles are sitting pretty at 6-1, and atop the NFC East.   Browns ironman lineman Joe Thomas suffered a season ending injury, sadly ending the streak of over 10,000 consecutive snaps, a record that will surely never be broken again.     Enojy the games everyone!

U/O 104: The Jets Got (technically) Robbed

Last weeks Patriots @ Jets game saw a controversial overuling/reversal of a Jets touchdown that ultimately took a win away from New York.  Technically the enforcement of the ruling was correct, but there is so much room for variation in how this silly rule is interpreted that it can end up costing teams valuable points.  There is also no contextual differentiation, allowing strange applications of it when any play is near the goal line.  Luckily the NFL is mostly open to amending rules from year to year, so we'll see how much coverage this gets and if they end up making any changes going into next year.     In other news, we were horrible with the picks this week, but then again so were all the ESPN pundits, so I don't feel as bad as I probably should.  "Any given Sunday" apparently applied to almost every game this week.     Enjoy the games everybody!

U/O 103: The Giants are DONEZO

In one week, the Giants saw four receivers go down with injuries, three of which are now out for the season.  Adding insult to injury, this occurred during a loss to the Chargers, a team which Eli Manning has not beaten since he was drafted by and famously traded to New York before ever playing a snap.   In other news, there are three 0-5 teams, and the Chiefs are the only team to still remain undefeated at 5-0.  The Jets could possibly be all alone in first place in the AFC East in a season during which the smartest thing for them to do would be to lose as many games as possible.  This is why football is the best.     Enjoy the games everyone, and we'll see you next week!

U/O 102: The Rams Are a Scoring Machine

We are four weeks through the season, and I highly doubt anyone would have guessed that the Rams would have the most points for in the entire league so far.  By a fairly large margin, no less.  Also the Texans dropped 57 last week, so go figure.     We break down the Jets' connundrum, as they have a tough choice to make in the coming weeks, depending on a few variables.  When do you fully commit to the tank, or decide to push for a shot at the postseason?  Tune in next week to find out!     Enjoy the games everyone!

U/O 101: A Very Large, Silly Elephant

Welp, it took three weeks, but we finally had a wave of games where most of the outcomes did turn out as we thought.  The pick numbers were a little rough, but it was bound to happen sometime.  The Falcons escaped Detroit with a win on the correct enforcement of a possibly not so great rule, and along with the Chiefs are the only two teams still without a loss.       We have no choice but to at least address the fiasco involcing the league-wide "protesting" being done after the president tweeted some stupid shit about Colin Kaepernick and those who joined him in taking a knee during the national anthem.  Not going to go too in depth on this, but here is what Shannon Sharpe had to say about it.     Enjoy the games everyone!

U/O 100: ONE HUNDRED EPISODES

Well this is pretty surreal.  We've made it to 100 episodes.  Thank you all for listening and supporting the show, it's been a ton of fun, and we love what we do.     We wanted to do something special to commemorate the moment, except it's week 3 of the season and nothing cool is really going on, so in classic Under/Over fashion, we just wing it instead, and play an impromptu version of Guess the Line!   Enjoy this week's games, and thank you all for sticking around for this long.  We love you.
