On the 352nd Episode of the Underdog NBA Show, Zandrick and Tyler celebrate the return of Lebron James, by talking about everyone's favorite topic -- THE DETROIT PISTONS. All kiddign aside, they talk about how the Lakers good run of games pre-Lebron potentially sets them up well before diving into what Lebron's role may look like given the leap in Austin Reaves play. They then talk some Thunder before jumping to the Pistons and discussing why they are a good story but maybe slightly further away from being title contenders. Finally Tyler rambles about Jokic's greatness for a bit because why not. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
On the 351st episode of the Underdog Sports NBA Show, Tyler and Zandrick wildly overreact to the first 10% of the season. They focus heavily on the Chicago Bulls hot start, specifically about if Josh Giddy has become an all NBA-Player of if parts of his start are not sustainable. They then discuss the Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic and why one hot start and one cold start aren't necessarily predictive. Finally they shout about the two LA teams after Zandrick saw the Clippers in person and things they are too old and the vibes are bad, before shifting the the Mavericks and why things may be worse than they seem. On the 350th episode of the Underdog NBA Show it is time for the annual tradition. For the seventh year in a row Tyler and Zandrick draft all the NBA teams, split by conference, based on how many wins they feel like they will have. Fresh off the closest draft in history (a Tyler 4 win victory) Tyler gets the prize of drafting first in the East, which will likely cost him the whole contest. Inflection points include, Zandrick's dogged love of Philly, Tyler having no belief in Charlotte, Tyler believing the Knicks and Nuggets will play with the playoffs in mind and Zandrick feeling strongly about the Celtics. On the 348th Episode of the underdog sports NBA show, Zandrick and Tyler discuss the pretty mediocre Atlantic Division. They start with the massive favorites in the division, the New York Knicks, and their new coaching hire of Mike Brown. They discuss how the team could be better, but could lose more games this year due to prioritizing more rest. They shift to the 76ers who they believe have the largest range of outcomes in the league, before they move on to the Celtics. Tyler discusses a potential Celtics fire sale and why they should go under their win totals. They discuss the Raptors at length before moving to the tanking Brooklyn Nets. Hosted on Acast. They then shift to the San Antonio Spurs and discuss the logjam at the PG spot and how good Wemby needs to be for them to really be contenders. They then discuss the Mavericks and how top-heavy they are before shifting to the boring Memphis Grizzlies, and then shift over to the Pelicans and discuss the potential for Zion if his conditioning is in order. They start with the Orlando Magic and discuss why they feel 50 wins is a lot, but also think Paolo could take a leap, and how they are due for injury regression after last year's bad luck. Then Tyler rants about how well constructed the Hawks are and why he thinks their over-under is the bet of the year. They shift to the Heat, who are about as boring as they come, before discussing the bottom of the division and why the Hornets might be better than people think, and how the Wizards have two paths to take. They begin with Giddy and how surprised they both are that the bulls and Giddey have no reached a resolution given how he closed the season. With Tyler Laurie on load management, Zandrick Ellison and special guest Blake J. Harris (CONSOLE WARS) discuss the rumors about the NBA expansion into Europe and debate the best approaches for the league's global takeover. Should the NBA expand here in the United States? Shuffle around and relocate current teams? Or dip their tentacles across the pond overseas? Along with it, they discuss the teams most vulnerable to a potential relocation, the cities that may be able to share teams, the potential new owners like LeBron James, and of course, the potential of a UFO confirmation happening in the next few years.
