#5 - My Veg Garden in April & Community Garden

In this episode of The Veg Project podcast, Helen talks about her experiences in her garden throughout April. She has been nurturing young seedlings and sowing more seeds, using her small greenhouses, dining table, and windowsills to grow plants. Helen is eagerly waiting for the last frost to happen so that she can plant her young plants outside. She has had some failures in seed germination, but she sowed them again and had success. Helen is experimenting with direct sowing parsnips and also germinating them in the house using the kitchen paper method. She has been finding it difficult to find good organic peat-free soil locally. Helen has also put together a metal arch to plant some sweet peas next to it and her winter squashes. She plans to donate some of her leftover plants to a community garden club that she recently joined locally.FOLLOW ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA:Instagram: the_vegprojectFacebook Page: The Veg ProjectEmail: helen.thevegproject@gmail.com
