Welcome back to The Viall Files, Going Deeper edition! Today we are joined by TikToker and Comedian, Erika Priscilla, as well as her fiancé, Scott! On this episode we dive deep into the shocking reunion of Selling Sunset, where we react to the tears (real and fake), talking about how public breakups don’t always need a public explanation, and when is it too soon to call someone the love of your life. We also get back into some Bachelor Drama and react to Tayshia’s reaction to a social media comment, and talk about the pros and cons of reading what people have to say about you online. We then bring on two callers to our Office Hours segment! Our first caller struggles after a drunken hookup. Despite ending well, our caller wonders what to do after being left on read after sending a very direct and honest text. Our next caller wonders how to deal with a boy with very convenient excuses for being unavailable for dates. Now she’s stuck debating if windsurfing is a viable excuse and maybe if her being too direct may have given this guy the ick.  “The disrespect he gave is the closure.” Please make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss an episode and as always send in your relationship questions to asknick@kastmedia.com to be a part of our Monday episodes.  If you would like to get some advice on Office Hours send an email to asknick@kastmedia.com with “ Office Hours” in the subject line!  Pre-Order Nick’s Book: https://www.abramsbooks.com/product/dont-text-your-ex-happy-birthday_9781419755491/ Check out our new "Introvert" merch at http://www.viallfiles.com today! Welcome back to The Viall Files: Bachelor Gossip Edition! Today we are joined by Natalie Joy to help us dive deep and tackle the latest on the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial, bringing on psychologist, Dr. Kirk Honda, as well as body language expert, Janine Driver. After recapping the emotional testimonies, the inconsistencies in the narratives, and the allegations of using drugs in the courtroom and posing for photos, we bring in the experts to answer all of your burning questions. We first bring on Dr. Kirk to get his reactions to what's happening in this case, how two doctors could land on different diagnoses, and what people should do when stuck in traumatic situations without access to therapy. After that we bring on Janine Driver who is a body language expert with a focus. She dives into how being theatrical can be part of your baseline, how the structure of a story can tell if you’re lying or not, and the massive amount of damage to your credibility that happens when you decide to fake cry. We then recap the information that we’ve learned and talk about why people want to side with Amber, and how people should believe women, regardless of how this specific case ends.  “Typically truthful people convey information, liars try to convince us.” Please make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss an episode and as always send in your relationship questions to asknick@kastmedia.com to be a part of our Monday episodes.  Pre-Order Nick’s Book: https://www.abramsbooks.com/product/dont-text-your-ex-happy-birthday_9781419755491/ Check out our new "Introvert" merch at http://www.viallfiles.com today! Our second caller is a young man who struggles with expectations and dating after moving to New York City. Now with new friends and friend groups, our caller wonders if he should pursue dating some flirting friends at the risk of breaking up the group. Our last caller struggles when her fiancé has taken every step of a marriage without the paperwork and the ceremonies. With his new role and responsibilities, he’s become consumed by stress, having it seep into every aspect of their lives. Now she feels confused when it seems that everything was perfect until he got stressed. Our last caller is living with Herpes and feels comfortable explaining her situation to dates and is equipped with the proper talking points. However, our caller feels that when her dates understand, that a power dynamic is created. How can our caller balance being selective while having to explain living with Herpes to her dates? “Just because this relationship was better, doesn’t mean you lost the one.” Please make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss an episode and as always send in your relationship questions to asknick@kastmedia.com to be a part of our Monday episodes.  Pre-Order Nick’s Book: https://www.abramsbooks.com/product/dont-text-your-ex-happy-birthday_9781419755491/ Check out our new "Introvert" merch at http://www.viallfiles.com today! Our last caller struggles with what to do after her military boyfriend got orders to move to another state, meaning she would have to pack up her life where she lives now to continue to live with him. Now, she wonders what to do considering she would have to put a stop on her career, and if an unconventional solution like having him pay her a “Girlfriend Tax” may get her what she needs to make the jump and move.  “I got hooked on the potential of where it could go.”  Please make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss an episode and as always send in your relationship questions to asknick@kastmedia.com to be a part of our Monday episodes.  Pre-Order Nick’s Book: https://www.abramsbooks.com/product/dont-text-your-ex-happy-birthday_9781419755491/ Check out our new "Introvert" merch at http://www.viallfiles.com today! Our last caller figures out how to define the difference between a boundary and an ultimatum when thinking of the big picture with her current partner. Today we are joined by Love is Blind Season 2’s Shayne Jansen, having his first official interview since the show has ended. Shayne claims to be saving it all for the Viall Files and he comes out swinging talking about the drug rumors, what went down during the night of the bachelor party, and how he felt like he had to go to the altar on the day of the wedding. We also dive into and ask about the drama between Natalie and Shaina, and how Shayne reacted to being called the villain. Next, Shayne talks about the very real feelings he felt for Natalie and if he thinks they’ll get back together.  We then go to our mediation couple who are having issues with the polar opposite of music choices. They struggle to figure out who should have control of the aux while driving and if there can be a happy medium between heavy metal and worship music. We end with Shayne telling us where he hopes to go with next steps and what he would say if Natalie was there right now after spilling the tea and letting everything out.  “You can’t have a great hero without a villain.” Please make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss an episode and as always send in your relationship questions to asknick@kastmedia.com to be a part of our Monday episodes.  Pre-Order Nick’s Book: https://www.abramsbooks.com/product/dont-text-your-ex-happy-birthday_9781419755491/ Check out our new "Introvert" merch at http://www.viallfiles.com today! This is the most annoying episode of Ask Nick I’ve ever heard. All of the callers were so dumb and dishonest with themselves. None of these are problems, just stop being dumb and in denial about what you want and are doing. Jeeeeezus.

When Nick said " being alone and not lonely " , we all need to learn that in our 20's, still working on that.

NICK! Thank you for this! This is the content the world needed this week. I haven’t gotten to the Dr.’s official analysis yet but I just really appreciate this idea. I’ve been very preoccupied with the Katie/Greg breakup and the great divide among Bach Nation over what we saw. As someone who was in an emotionally abusive relationship for almost 5 years where I was gaslighted (actual definition, not pop definition) frequently, I was surprisingly Team Greg in this exchange and untriggered. I felt incredible empathy for him in the moment. After listening to my other favorite Pods: Shandy and Chatty Broads, I started to doubt my instincts and was wondering how I could have missed an abuser in plain sight. Contrast this with the Love Is Blind After the Alter special which hit Netflix the same week and featured Damian gaslighting the LIVING SHIT out of Gigi, which I did feel very triggered by. Anyway, I felt the need for some true guidance and insight here by a professional. As someone who has been truly gaslit and abused I am sensitive to the words being thrown around and diluted. I can see why Katie feels the way she did, but I’m not sure it fits the bill entirely. (I agreed w your stance on your anal ep. Very grey. I will now continue to listen.

My daughter is a hoarder. It is crippling, and it is a mental health issue. He HAS to get therapy.

Nick, I am positively bursting with pride for you right now. You handled all of these calls so beautifully. It’s clear how much you’ve learned from therapy, how confident you are in your new relationship, and your advice has never been better! I wonder if they give out professional certificates for podcast therapy, because you are ready for yours let me tell you. In other news I dream the other night that you became the bachelor again and I went on your season and you sent me home first out of everybody and you and Chris Harrison both said that I was crazy. I’m not holding it against you.

Sometimes I am so impressed with how insightful his advice to people is, but other times so disappointed with how condescending he can be toward people he is interviewing/chatting with, especially when it is someone significantly younger than him. It has made me cringe a few times. Also, I just have to say, it is so rude when Chrissy continuously giggles in the background of an interview.

Eek. Nick irritated me in this. Didn’t let Steve talk and wasn’t open to any perspectives but his own.

This was so hard to listen to. Nick was aggressive, dismissive and hypocritical. I've been a Nick fan for awhile and it was just cringe and after cringe after cringe. He pushed on the Demi issue even AFTER RS said he wouldn't have released the info had he know Demi hadn't come out to her family. He said people sign up for the show so the show can edit/manipulate story lines any way they want because they signed up for it, then later in the episode bashed RS for releasing info saying that just because the contestants signed up for it, doesn't justify RS releasing info, or judging someone based on the story line the show portrays, I mean WHAT??? Whatever fits your narrative right Nick?
