What does it mean to be beautiful in the eyes of God? As a Christian woman, how can you find your beauty and worth in God? How can we honor God with our bodies and confidently believe God's truth about us that we are beautiful? I have two special guests on the podcast today—Bethany Beal (a former model) from Girl Defined and my 13-year-old daughter Susie—who offer unique perspectives on related topics on beauty and worth such as comparison, being enough and finding worth in who God says we are. Here are some of the questions we tackle today in our conversation on finding our worth in God and believing His truth that we are beautiful: How do we live with these pressures to look a certain way in order to be beautiful? How can we honor God through our outward appearance and beauty, especially on social media? What does it mean to be feminine according to God’s word? How can we represent God well as women in all that we do and say? Bethany is passionate about God’s beautiful design for womanhood and love and shares this message through a ministry with her sister called Girl Defined. Learn more about her book, speaking and You Tube videos at GirlDefined.com. Check out this episode and let us know: What do you think about what it means to stand strong in the truth that we are beautiful to God?
What is Christian meditation? How is Christian meditation different from eastern forms of meditation? And how can Christian meditation help us grow closer to God?Today my guest Sarah Geringer and I discuss the power of Christian meditation, including practical, everyday examples of how to use Christian meditation to work through negative thoughts and renew our minds with Bible verses. This podcast episode is a great info for Christian meditation for beginners as it talks about several Christian mediation techniques and shows you how to make Christian meditation a regular part of your spiritual practice.
What’s the difference between conviction vs condemnation? How can we let God convict us of areas that need to change without feeling guilt and shame known as condemnation? Today’s episode tackles this very important question about hearing God’s voice, being obedient to change and not living under the heaviness of guilt so we can grow closer to God. What does the voice of conviction and the voice of condemnation sound like, and how can we tell them apart? What is the difference between guilt and conviction? In order to have a vibrant, growing spiritual life we really do need to understand the difference between conviction and condemnation so that we can live life to the fullest, stay close to Christ and be released from fear, regret, past mistakes and shame. Today’s podcast gives great practical tips and Bible verses on how to tell the difference between conviction and condemnation so you can walk in freedom in Christ! Knowing the difference between condemnation vs conviction is a question I'm asked all the time, so I can't wait to share today!
