One Sexual Assault is TOO MANY. Shari Freeman is a person friend of our co-host Merranda.  Shari and Merranda met when Shari was the SARC at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam and Merranda was going through a SAPR VA course.  Shari joins us today as the SARC for the Coast Guard under the Department of Homeland Security.   Shari is a subject matter expert in Sexual Assault prevention and response and shares an abundance of resources during her time on the show.Some resources that Shari recommended is:1.  Military Member DoD 24/7 SAFE Help Line:  877-995-5247 / Safehelpline.org.              * Also has a private chat group for survivors and has additional training for VA and other professionals.  Also has master list for SARC's and their phone numbers.2.  RAINN - Rape Abuse Incest National Network - This is a Civilian entity and can assist both military and Civilian Survivors.3.  Veterans Affairs office has Military Sexual Trauma (MST)  Program.  This program has therapy both individual an group therapy and you did not have to report your MST while on Active Duty. A resource from Merranda:  Saving Sailors #SavingSailors on Facebook.
