Modern Disney is in a very precarious situation, their previously successful propeties like Marvel and Star Wars arn't landing and the newer ideas Wish and Elio arn't making any impact. This isn't new for Disney however, they've always had periods like this and massive bombs and to celebrate that over the next few weeks we're going to look at four MASSIVE live action disasters. Starting with 2010's The Sorceror's Apprentice. Nick Cage. Magic. Uh. A big bird. I've already forgotten but in the video I haven't forgotten but that was a different time to when I recorded nowSUBSCRIBE HERE ►► http://goo.gl/pQ39jNHelp support the show and get early episodes ► https://bigsandwich.co/Patreon ► https://patreon.com/mrsundaymoviesJames' Twitter ► http://twitter.com/mrsundaymoviesMaso's Twitter ► http://twitter.com/wikipediabrownPatreon ► https://patreon.com/mrsundaymoviesT-Shirts/Merch ► https://www.teepublic.com/stores/mr-sunday-movies The Weekly Planet iTunes ► https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-weekly-planet/id718158767?mt=2&ign-mpt=uo%3D4 The Weekly Planet Direct Download ► https://play.acast.com/s/theweeklyplanetAmazon Affiliate Link ► https://amzn.to/2nc12P4 Hosted on Acast. We've reached the end of the 20th Century Fox era of Predator movies, right before the Disney purchase in 2019. This particular entry had a lot going for it, the return of director Shane Black to the franchise, an R rating, solid cast, big budget and yet it's regarded as probably the worst movie in the franchise with the inclusion of a giant nine feet tall Predator and movie Autism as a superpower. Thanks for coming with us on this particular journey and thanks for watching this particular Caravan Of Garbage reviewSUBSCRIBE HERE ►► http://goo.gl/pQ39jNHelp support the show and get early episodes ► https://bigsandwich.co/Patreon ► https://patreon.com/mrsundaymoviesJames' Twitter ► http://twitter.com/mrsundaymoviesMaso's Twitter ► http://twitter.com/wikipediabrownPatreon ► https://patreon.com/mrsundaymoviesT-Shirts/Merch ► https://www.teepublic.com/stores/mr-sunday-movies The Weekly Planet iTunes ► https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-weekly-planet/id718158767?mt=2&ign-mpt=uo%3D4 The Weekly Planet Direct Download ► https://play.acast.com/s/theweeklyplanetAmazon Affiliate Link ► https://amzn.to/2nc12P4 Hosted on Acast. After one sequel in 1990 and two lackluster Alien VS Predator movies Predators took the franchise back to its roots in 2010. We get the return of a rag tag group of lunatics, a jungle setting, a muddy showdown but also some additional elements that elevate this movie beyond what had been done in previous sequels. It's just a shame we never got an actual follow up to what is considered by many to be a movie that I, Mr Sunday Movies, like very much. With the massive success of the first film and massive amounts of franchise potential a sequel to the original Predator, Predator 2 released in 1990 was inevitable. Despite lacking some key elements from the first, Arnold Schwarzenegger and a jungle it does mix things up with the inclusion of Danny Glover, an LA in the midst of a heat/crime wave and a new and even more dangerous Predator. It's a fun ride if you arn't expecting exactly the same thing and also like Gary Busey. Like The Mummy 2017, everything we've been covering up to this point has lead us here. The Dark Universe has had its fair share of failures but none quite as spectacular as the 2017 reboot/sequel/franchise launching Tom Cruise vehicle The Mummy. With Universal pumping nearly 200 million dollars into the budget including a brand new logo and the reveal of it's upcoming film slate in a hilarious promo photo featuring the likes of Javier Bardem and Johnny Depp this outing was nothing but an unmitigated disaster. And thats's why we love it. Not the movie but all the stuff around it. We've all been having the best time revisiting different failures within the Dark Universe. This week it's Dracula Untold, a thinly veiled attempt to turn Dracula into a comic book action hero. Which is weird because Dracula already exists in both the Marvel and DC Universes. Anyhoo Luke Evans stars as Vlad The Impaler, a kind and gentle family man who just wants to forget the time he literally impalled 1000 people. BUT THEN an man from his past returns to get all the boys and Vlad's like "NO WAY" and he turns into a Dracula. Other things happen but that's the main thrust of it. In 2010 Universal took another step towards rebooting the Dark Universe with a straight shot at a remake of the 1941 classic The Wolf Man starring Lon Chaney Jr. This time starring Benecio del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt and Hugo Weaving and with the late addition direction of Joe Johnston it does manage to capture some of the magic of a classic monster movie. But also it's not that good even though Mason liked it. All-time best rom-com: BROADCAST NEWS, with Wliiam Hurt (Thunderbolt Ross), Holly Hunter (Granny's peach tea), and Albert Brooks (Hank Scorpio!!). High-brow comedy, but still exceedingly relevant 35 years later.
MR NICK MASON SWEARS IN THIS ONE
Taking everything you've said onboard, I still found Captain America: Brave New World very entertaining despite not quite reaching the top of the flagpole, but not all of us can, am I right?😁 Great show as always, boys.

I hope that woman is being ironic, but it seems like she isn't. Shrek is sexist and racist? Get a grip, chick.

I loved the bit where the main character Rebel C. Moonwalker turned to the camera and said let’s do a star war
Im an Israeli listener and i find your view of the matter problematic. calling for a ceasefire without release of all hostages, and saying Israel carpet bombs indescrinitiably is ignoring the israeli perspective and adopting hamas's point of view
You are a great/ good podcast.
Looking back after almost a century, the fact that the atomic bomb has never again been used against people since WWII seems to be good evidence that it’s existence is an effective deterrent against war in general
This is the only context in which calling Ezra Miller a “they” makes any logical sense.
