Description
The world puts a lot of pressure on both your weight i.e. body image, size, shape, a number etc as well as your "wait," dictating how your life "should" look at a certain time. But I want to push back against the world. I want to trade in lies of the enemy that have become truths of this world, for THE truth found only in Jesus. Grab a cup of coffee and listen along as I chat with some of my favorite people. My heart is that you would feel as if you are in the room with us having vulnerable and hopefully encouraging conversations. I can't WAIT to sit with you.

Today's episode is GOLD. I have been looking forward to this conversation for quite some time and it is finally here!! On todays episode is my friend and pastor, Larry Mayberry. He drops so much truth, and wisdom, while also continuously pointing us to scripture. One of my favorite lines from today-
"When we view our body image as just what we see in the mirror, we are missing the fullness of the image that we were created in from God’s perspective...We are fearfully and wonderfully made. All God works are wonderful, and we are one of God’s works."
I was both challenged and encouraged in this episode, and I can't WAIT for you to listen! ENJOY friends!

On today's episode, I was inspired by the incredible, Emily P. Freeman for this episode. She recently did an episode called "10 Things Saving my Winter Life," and I loved it so much. I thought it would make the perfect episode to kick off February! Enjoy!

On todays episode, Jess and I talk about what it can look like to hold both: desiring marriage while also using this time of singleness for the glory of HIS kingdom and not our own. I was so encouraged by today's episode, and I know you will be too! ENJOY!

I am so excited to have my mentor, friend, and all around soul-sister, Candice Corley, on today's episode. I have had the privilege to watch Candice raise her kiddos for over the 12+ years getting to teach two of the 4. I have always been in awe and encouraged by how she talked about her body or rather didn't in front of her kids. She has modeled living a healthy lifestyle careful not to put too much focus on the body but rather on nutrition, whole foods, and strength. SO, naturally I wanted to pick her brain and gain some wisdom. ENJOY!

Oh how I have missed you guys, and oh how it feels SO GOOD to be back. This episode is both special and important to me, and I can't wait for you to listen. It is a solo episode, and it explains in more detail why I hit pause not once, but twice on this podcast. I have seen first hand just how important it is to WAIT on the Lord.
On todays episode, I sit down with my sweet friend Lindsey Mayberry. Lindsey is married to Larry Mayberry, my pastor, and together with 3 others, planted Queens Church. She is a mom to 4 amazing kiddos and owner of Simple Space Designs, a business created to help people simplify their spaces through organization and interior decorating. She is not only a friend to me but has been a mentor, an accountability partner, and one of the most empathetic people I know. Lindsey has a different take on waiting that I can’t WAIT to share with you.

Kelsey Adams knows a thing or two about waiting on the Lord. Kelsey and her husband Tyler have been in a season of waiting to be parents. They dove head first into the adoption process and things just seemed to quickly fall into place. Not too long after they had submitted all their paperwork did they receive a call that in January, they would have a baby boy. They prepared and nested as one does, celebrated with family only to be met with heartbreak and disappointment. I am so grateful for and encouraged by this conversation. Kelsey shares her heart so honestly, and walks us through receiving "that" phone call. The call that absolutely gutted the both of them but at the same time brought them closer to the Lord.
"Because I fit the mold of the world, what the world says is fit and healthy, it's as if I am not allowed to struggle with my body."
In this episode, we talk about how shame exist at any size, the pressure of the fitness world, how important it is to allow margin for each others insecurities, and the value of encouragement and spurring one another on.

A little bit of my story in a compact 18 minute package.
"but they who WAIT for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31
In this very first episode, I sit down with the amazing Rachel Harkins and share my heart for this show, how I got the name, and what you can expect from this season.
